I was up early, again, this morning to see ‘
Reina’ back with us for the day, she shot into her duvet, ‘ Chico’ slept all
night on the bed and then this morning went into his own bed, after freshening
up we took him for his first walk of the day around the bottom of the village,
when we came back we had our normal light breakfast of ‘ Weetabix’ fresh fruit,
toast & tea, we then got the shopping list ready for tomorrow morning when
I’m out on my travels down to Sabinillas.
This morning the sun broke through very
early and the sky is bright blue, there is not a cloud in sight, there is a
very slight breeze, making it hot in the sunshine and warm in the shade, by
lunchtime it’s going to be 18 degs+ - tomorrow and over the weekend it’s staying
the same and getting a little warmer, up to 19/20degs+ - sadly next week is now
looking unsettled, cooler, with some of the wet stuff, watch this space.
For this evenings supper Brenda is having one of her favourites ‘ Muslo de Pato en Confit – A Confit of Ducks Leg! ‘ – crisped in a hot oven, with a Baked Potato, I’m having the rest of the Gammon Steak, topped with seared Pineapple rings and a ‘ Campo’ Fried Egg, with twice-cooked ‘ Chips’ – with finely sliced Green Beans & sautéed Button Mushrooms, for both of us! Friday is as usual ‘ Fish’n Chip Night’ and on Saturday we will have a nice Steak, Sunday’s Roast is still TBC, depending on what I see in the butchery department at ‘Mercadona’ in the morning! Watch this space.
Yesterday afternoon we made contact with Tim & Thea up in Mojacar, on the ‘ Facebook’ Messenger Video, their friends from Old Colwyn, had just flown back, from Alicante, after a long weekend break with them, they are both very well, Tim was just in his shorts, as he had been sitting in the sun outside the caravan, it was 21 degs+`up in sunny Mojacar! They are not now coming down past us, to go to Portugal, as they had planned, so we will catch up with them when they return in September, they have booked on the ferry, from Santander, towards the end of March – Old Colwyn, North Wales – here they come!

Meanwhile over in Canada, Sandra & Bill
went into Toronto, on the subway, then had a ‘ Valentines Day ‘ meal at an Italian ‘ Ristorante’ before going
to the ‘Air Canada Centre’ to watch the Ice Hockey game between the ‘ Toronto
Maple Leafs ‘ and the ‘ Columbus Blue Jackets’ - ‘ Toronto’ won 6-3 – “ Go Leafs Go “!

Sadly the multi-channel ‘TV System’ is still not working, Lee is working on the programme, this evening, checking the settings etc, when he collect ‘Reina’ hopefully it will be sorted in time for the weekend, in the meantime we are back to channel hopping on just BBC 1/BBC 2 via the ‘ BBC I-Player’ and back over on the Spanish terrestrial stations! Watch this space.
