A ' CRISP' BUT WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON THURSDAY.

THURSDAY 1st / FEBRUARY 2018.

I was up early this morning to see little princess ‘ Reina’ back with us for the day, Daniela is feeling a lot better, as usual ‘Reina’ shot upstairs and came on the bed with us for a nice lie in, she then disappeared into her duvet as we freshened up, for our breakfast we had ‘ Crispy Smoked Back Bacon’ ( English) toasted butties, smothered in ‘HP’ Brown sauce, open on brown bread for Brenda, with mugs of steaming, strong, ‘PG Tips’! ‘Chispa’ has been in & out already this morning and will come back later, no doubt.

Next week is ‘ Doggy World Heaven ‘ – ‘Reina’ is due back with us for her normal 4/5 days, on Wednesday evening ‘ Scruffy’ is with us for a sleep over, as Adrian is due back in hospital for a check up, then next Friday ‘Chico’ is back with us for another weeks holiday!

We then put together the shopping list for tomorrow morning, when we are going down to Sabinillas on our travels, I then popped along to the cash machine at the local bank at the top end of ‘Calle Mar’ – the ‘ Contactors’ workmen are finishing all the drains/water supply covers etc, they have also put in the base’s for the lamp posts and are starting to finish the pipe work to connect the water supplies back to the house’s, watch this space.

See below two pictures taken yesterday evening over in Liverpool of the supper blue blood moon – spectacular – to say the least!

This morning the sun has broken through earlier and the sky has cleared and is bright blue, back to normal for now, there is just a slight breeze so it’s rather pleasant, warm on the sunny side of the street, by lunchtime it’s due to reach 17/18 degs+ over the next couple of days it’s staying warm & sunny, on Sunday we could have some of the wet stuff, then next week is still looking dry but a little cooler as an ‘Arctic’ front comes down across Spain, 12/13 degs only, watch this space.

See below a view of the beach, down in Sabinillas, taken this morning, it looks like the ‘ Caribbean ‘!

At lunchtime went up to ' Bar Rojas' for a nice cool drink sat in the warm sunshine.

On the ‘ Councils’ web-page yesterday they published more details etc about the proposed cycle/walking path along the side of the road, on the right, from Sabinillas up to the village, it will feature stage lighting, road signs, guardrails and a fenced boundary, it’s the ‘ pet’ project of our neighbour, Mario, the Mayor, it’s now looking like it will happen, sooner than later, it looks very impressive, as you can see in the ‘artists’ pictures below.

This evening for our supper we are having the rest of the ‘ Chicken & Mushroom Curry’ with twice-cooked ‘ Chips’ On Friday it’s ‘Fish’ night, Salmon has been requested, on Saturday it will be our usual ‘ Steak’ night and then on Sunday we are going to have a ‘ Roast Chicken’ with all the trimmings, watch this space.

Last night after supper we watched the final episode of the four-part drama ‘ Kiri’ with Sarah Lancashire, it left viewers in turmoil with a shock ending, rather unsatisfying yet a still riveting conclusion! I won’t tell you the ending, I will keep you guessing, watch it to find out!!

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
