A VERY COLD AND OVERCAST SUNNY MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY.

WEDNESDAY 7th/ FEBRUARY 2018.

I was up early again this morning to see little princess ‘ Reina’ back with us for the day, as usual she shot upstairs and joined for a little lie in before she shot into her duvet, as we freshened up, and then had our regular breakfast of ‘ Weetabix’ fresh fruit, toast & tea, this evening ‘ Scruffy’ is being dropped off for a sleep over, ‘ Chispa’ has just come calling in, otherwise we are taking things very easy, staying inside and keeping as warm as possible, with just one ‘ Oil Heater’ in the lounge!

At the moment it’s only 7 degs, reaching 11 degs by lunchtime, overnight it went down to just 3 deg, the coldest night ever since we have been here in sunny Manilva!  It’s grey ,cloudy & overcast, then tomorrow it’s forecast to be even colder, with rain, dropping down to just 9 degs during the day, over the weekend we are in for another ‘ icy-blast’ keeping things as cold, next week is now looking cold, wet & windy, definitely not the ‘ Costa Del Sol ‘ - watch this space.

This evening for our supper we are having, out of the deep-freeze, a ‘Chicken & Mushroom Curry ‘ with Basmati Rice, which we put away for just a day like today! Tomorrow it’s a ‘ find anything’ in the fridge day before Friday’s ‘ Fish’n Chip’ supper, on Saturday we will be having our usual ‘ Steak Night ‘ – then on Sunday, for a change, we are having ‘ Baked Pork Chops’ with our favourite ‘ Lyonnaise Potatoes’!

Yesterday  afternoon/evening we watched the usual ‘Quiz’ shows, ’Countdown, Pointless & Eggheads’ before catching Michael Portillo’s ‘ Great American Railroads ‘ as he reached California, then over on ‘BBC Four’ a very interesting ‘ Railways of the Great War ‘ with him again, before watching a documentary over on ‘ Channel Five’ ‘ QE2: The World’s Greatest Cruise Ship ‘ – one very interesting fact that came out was when the ‘ Queen’ was naming the ship she should have read the ‘ Queen Elizabeth’ but instead she put the paper down and called it, after herself, the  ‘ Queen Elizabeth the 2nd ‘!  The ‘Cunard’ company then had to change the name on the side of the ship and all the pro- mo literature etc!! Finally over on ‘ITV 4’ we caught another very interesting documentary ‘ Heathrow: Britain’s Busiest Airport ‘

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
