A VERY WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON TUESDAY.

TUESDAY 19^th/ MAY 2020.    “ STATE OF ALARM –DAY 66 “

After freshening up we had our regular fresh fruit (sliced Banana) toast and tea before getting the day on the go. Brenda then took little ‘ Miss Bella’ out for her first walk of the day, she’s settled in very well, is eating everything we give her, she has found her ‘ spots’ when she is out, she sleeps all night on our bed on her small comfort rug, she is an absolute joy to have with us in ‘Doggy World Heaven’- we are going to be broken-hearted on Friday lunchtime! We are still waiting to hear if ‘ Scruffy’ is joining us on Thursday for a sleep-over until Friday evening, watch this space.

Yesterday lunchtime our dear friends ‘ Big Brian & Andy’ called at the house, to take us out for the first drink, up at ‘Bar Rojas Sol Vida’ as it re-opened under the new ‘ Phase 1 ‘ rules, while they waited they had a couple of beers, stood outside!

We then sat at a table, under a large sun umbrella, keeping to social distancing, as we had our cool drinks, a fine glass of White Italian Wine, for Brenda and a large “ Cubalibre “ for me – a ‘Grand Vaso, Mucho Hielo, Con Rodaja de Lima’! More friends came along, Carlos and his mate Tom, then later our friends James & Michala, so we ended up having a nice ‘ Session’ sat in the very hot sunshine, Mario, the Mayor, stopped and wished us all the best! A little ‘ Siesta’ was then called for!!

This morning the sun broke through first thing, the sky is cloudless and bright blue, there is very light breeze, so by lunchtime it’s due to reach 26 degs+ - overnight only back down to 18/19degs+ - the rest of the week is staying the same, getting hotter at times, with just a few patchy clouds, the weekend is also looking good, next week we are in for more of the same, hovering in the mid/high 20s all week, with lots of very warm sunshine, as well as a ‘ Fresh’ breeze at times, making it very pleasant to be out & about, watch this space.

“ CORANAVIRUS UPDATE – COVID 19 PANDEMIC “

The Spanish Health Minister announced on Monday evening that the use of face masks in Spain will be obligatory in closed spaces and on the street, where two-metre safe distances cannot be respected.

The Spanish Transportation Minister, at the same time, announced that more Airports will be allowed to re-open, and the two-week quarantine for foreign arrivals will conclude when the ‘National Mobility’ restrictions are lifted, by the end of June.

‘Phase 2 “ will come into force a little later in the Malaga province, after the Prime Minister, has got through the ‘ Congress-Parliament’  up in Madrid, the final extension to the ‘ State of Alarm’ – this time for a month, as the current dates run out ( 28 May) Watch this space.

For our supper this evening we are having ‘ Grilled Pork Loin Steaks’ garnished with seared Baby Mushrooms and sliced Fuji Apple, resting on a pool of ‘Pan Gravy’ and served with whole Baby ‘ French’ Green Beans and Glazed Carrot Batons, with our favourite ‘ Pommes de Terre Lyonnaise ’ - sliced/boiled Potatoes and thinly sliced Onions, sautéed in foaming Parsley Butter – in the style of the French city of Lyon!
