A BEAUTIFUL ' FRESH' WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON TUESDAY.

TUESDAY 5th/ MAY 2020.   “ STATE OF ALARM- DAY 52 “

After freshening up a little later than normal, as Brenda didn’t have a good night’s sleep, so I left her in bed for a lie in, we then had our regular light breakfast of fresh fruit ( sliced Banana & Apricot for Brenda) with toast and tea to start another beautiful day down here on the Costa Del Sol and especially in a very sunny Manilva.

As I said we have yet another glorious hot day here in sunny Manilva, the sky is bright blue and cloudless and there is a light breeze, so it’s ‘ fresh’ – with sunshine, all day, by lunchtime it’s forecast to reach 28 degs+ again – overnight only dropping to 16/17 degs+ - the perfect time of the year before it gets too hot, in June, July & August, it must be time to get all the fans out, a small one in the kitchen, a large one in the lounge, a tall stack one in the bedroom and a small stack in the office/studio! ‘Be Prepared’

Tomorrow it’s going to be the same, then on Thursday and over the weekend it’s going a little cooler, as a new ‘ Atlantic’ front comes in, with the breeze picking up a little, but still hovering in the low 20s, with a few patchy clouds hanging around, next week, at the moment, is looking a little unsettled, with the chance of the ‘ Wet-Stuff’ returning, at the same time going down to the low 20s, but still with sunshine on most of the days,  watch this space.

See below a few pictures taken this morning, showing some of the may mosaic decorative benches around sunny Manilva & Sabinillas!

“ CORANAVIRUS UPDATE – COVID 19 PANDEMIC “

The main news today is that the ‘Covid 19’ figures, just published by the ‘ Junta de Andalucia’ shows that here in sunny Manilva we only have had ‘3 POSITIVES’ recorded to far! “ RESULT’ - for all the hard work, by the local Council, the Mayer Mario and all the workers, as well as ‘ pat on the back ‘ for all of us in the most severe ‘ LOCKDOWN’  in Europe!

One slight problem is that tomorrow in the Spanish ‘Congress – Parliament’ up in Madrid, the minority coalition government, led by Pedro Sanchez, faces politicians from all the opposition parties, who are going to vote against extending the ‘ State of Alarm’ past Sunday 10th May, for another 15 days  “ TOTAL MADNESS “ – Politics at it’s worst, watch this space.

Every morning as I’m up in the office/studio typing/posting today’s Blog, Brenda is going out for her walk, around the bottom of the village, in the over ‘70s’ time slot – 10 00 am to 12 noon, as usual  ‘ masked/gloved’ up, this morning she met Mano & Anna, who were out taking advantage also, when I went along to the local Bank yesterday I saw them outside the ‘Tabac’s & Chemists’ – for the first time in a very long while.

This evening for our supper we are having ‘Grilled Gammon Steaks’ – cooked on a very hot griddle-plate – garnished with seared Button Mushrooms and glazed/seared Pineapple Rings and topped with a ‘ Campo’ Fried Egg! Served with Garden Peas and of course triple-cooked ‘ Chips’ – not forgetting the ‘HP’ Brown sauce on the side!

As usual we are watching a lot of TV, at the moment, following all the ‘ Quiz Shows’ – last night it was the final of ‘ Mastermind’ – on Sunday evening the next very exciting episode of ‘Killing Eve’ –  as well as lots of old sports clips etc, all the time listening to in the regular mornings/lunchtime  ‘Lockdown Party’ show on ‘Castle Radio FM 89.2 & Online on the WWW’ as well as the ‘ County & Western’ show today, this morning I was the first person to give the correct answer to the ‘Mystery Voice’ Quiz, it was ‘ Francis Rossi’ from ‘Status Quo’! I also got the ‘ Music Quiz’ correct again, it was ‘The Jacksons’ with ‘I Want You Back’!!

“ STAY SAFE & WELL INSIDE AT ALL TIMES AND WHEN OUT KEEP YOUR DISTANCE WITH YOUR MASKS & GLOVES ON “

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
