A ' FRESH' AND SLOWLY CLEARING SUNNY MANILVA ON THURSDAY.

THURSDAY 7th/ MAY 2020.   “ STATE OF ALARM – DAY 54 “

After freshening up, as I was on the breakfast rota this morning, I had a treat of my favourite ‘ Toasted Crispy Smoked Bacon Butty ‘ – smothered in ‘HP’ Brown sauce – open on brown for Brenda, with her favourite sliced/seared Baby Mushrooms, sautéed in the Bacon juices with a knob of butter, some of which ended up in my Butty! Mugs of strong/hot Tea helped wash them down.

I then ‘masked/gloved’ up and shot along to the local Bank in ‘Calle Mar’ for some cash from the machine, as Leah is going down at lunchtime to Sabinillas for hers and ours shopping from ‘ Mercadona’ – when I came back Brenda ‘ masked/gloved’ up and went along to the ‘Chemists’ for her prescription tablets, on the way back she called into the local shop at the bottom of our street for the fresh vegetables and fruit!

PS; Our dear friend Leah has just cancelled the shopping trip this morning as after coming back from  the Hairdressers, for her son Deemy,  he's had a nasty massive nose bleed and been sick, so she is taking him around the local Surgery, watch this space.

As usual we were listening to the ‘Lockdown Party’ show on ‘ Castle Radio FM 89.2 & Online on the WWW’ – the ‘ Mystery Voice’ quiz came on, it was Jason Statham, then the ‘ Music Quiz’ was on later, this morning it was Lenny Kravitz with ‘ Are You Gonna Go My Way ‘!

This morning has started rather grey & overcast with a stiff breeze, as the new ‘ Atlantic’ front comes in, hopefully by lunchtime clearing, with the sunshine back with us, but only hovering at 21/22 degs+ overnight back down to 15/16 degs+ - tomorrow & Saturday staying the same, then sadly from Sunday it’s looking like we are in for the ‘ Wet-Stuff’ returning, as the tail-end of the front hits us, very unseasonably staying with us all of next week, but still the overall temperatures hovering in the low 20s, but going a little cooler also, with patchy clouds all the time, watch this space.

PS, Don't forget it's the last ' Supermoon ' this evening for 2020!

“ CORANAVIRUS UPDATE – COVID 19 PANDEMIC “

The Prime Minister, Pedro Sanchez, secured last-minute support from various opposition groups to prolong the emergency powers to combat the ‘Coronavirus’ crisis, the ‘ Congress of Deputies’ voted to extend the ‘ State of Alarm’ in Spain, for another 15 days, from this Sunday up to the 24th May, by a very small majority, with ‘Phase 0 ‘ carrying on and ‘ Phase 1’ coming into power during the period, governed by the 17 autonomous regions of Spain, watch this space.

Each day now the ‘ Junta de Andalucia’ are publishing/updating the ‘ Covid 19 ‘ figures, showing the results of all the town/villages in the region, thankfully Manilva staying the same, see below.

The ‘ Town Hall ‘ has now re-opened, with all the departments back in action, but access still controlled by the ‘Policia Local’- by controlled appointments, with improved phone/E-Mail contacts!

For our supper this evening we are having, for a change, ‘Homemade’ ( our local Butcher) ‘Burgers’ served on  toasted Sesame Buns, ‘Cheese’ ( Gouda slice) for Brenda and mine the ‘ Full Works’ – topped with a ‘ Campo’ Fried Egg, both filled with Lettuce, Tomato, Crispy Smoked Bacon & sautéed Shallots! Accompanied with baskets of crisp ‘ Fries’ ( frozen) – fried just once!

“ STAY SAFE AND WELL INSIDE AT ALL TIMES IN LOCKDOWN “

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
