A WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON MONDAY AT THE START OF THE WEEK.

MONDAY 10th/ DECEMBER 2018.

We overslept this morning, all of us, ‘Scoobie’ in ‘Paddy’s’ bed, who stayed another night and is being collected later, little prince ‘ Paddy ‘ on his usual cosy spot across the bottom of the bed, he’s due to be picked up on Wednesday afternoon.

See below little prince ‘ Paddy’ in his ‘Father Christmas ‘ outfit, ‘Scoobie’ also wanted his picture taking!

NB; Don't forget to click-on the pictures to enlarge!

After freshening up we all went out for the first walk of the day down and around the ‘ Plaza de la Vendemia’ where all the ‘ Council’ workmen are starting to dismantle the Marquee and take down all the stages and stalls, they have also washed down all the area & streets.

When we returned I was in the breakfast rota so we had my famous ‘ Toasted Crispy Smoked Bacon Butties’ – open on brown for Brenda, smothered in ‘ HP’ Brown sauce, with mugs of hot Tea, to start the week in the right direction, tomorrow morning Brenda is going down on the local Bus to Sabinillas, as she has an appointment at her regular ‘Hairdressers’ Annie, for a cut & style, on Thursday afternoon we are going to Malaga, on the ‘ Pensioners’ Bus to see the ‘Christmas Lights & Music ‘ in Calle Larios, before having a few drinks and our ‘late’ anniversary supper. I will be back, as usual, out on my travels to Sabinillas on Friday morning for our weekly shopping.

We then had a ‘ Skype’ video call from Tim up in Mojacar, just a quick catch up- they are also having the good weather, yesterday it reached 26 degs+! - making some arrangements for their visit over the ‘ New Years Eve Weekend’ – when they are coming down to stay with us and see in ‘2019’ – in style!

This morning it’s clear & crisp, the sky is blue and the clouds are clearing, as there is light breeze, it’s another perfect day here in sunny Manilva, by lunchtime it’s due to reach 21 degs+ over the next few days and into the weekend it’s going a little cooler and with the threat of the ‘ wet-stuff’ is still in the air, on all the forecasts, sadly by Thursday, next week is now looking a little unsettled, partly cloudy with patchy light/heavy rain, at times, hovering in the low 20s or just below, then going sunny for the ‘ Xmas Weekend’ -  watch this space.

At lunchtime we went for a short walk with the two dogs along ' Calle Mar' and ended up back at ' Bar Rojas' - sat outside in the warm sunshine, for a nice cool drink and Tapas.

For our supper this evening we are having ‘ Cold Roast Chicken ‘ with all the left-over’s from last night, tomorrow I’m making a ‘ Casserole of Sliced Beef Steak ‘ in a rich ‘Red Wine, Mushroom & Onion’ sauce, Wednesday is find something in the fridge day, we are then out on Thursday for Supper, it will be time for a ‘ Fish n’Chip’ supper on Friday, as usual Saturday is ‘ Steak Night’ and next Sunday is still TBC, watch this space.

This evening we will be channel hopping to find something to watch.

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
