A ' CRISP' & SUNNY MANILVA ON THURSDAY.

THURSDAY 27^th/ DECEMBER 2018. 

We had a little lie in this morning, ‘ Chico’ slept all night on the duvet at the foot of the bed and ‘Charlie’ was down on the settees in the lounge, after a quick freshen up Brenda, again, took both the dogs out for their first walk of the day, around the bottom of the village, as I have had a ‘ bad-back’ for the past couple of days, hopefully the ointment the ‘Night Nurse’ ( Brenda, sadly not in uniform!)  applied will help!

When they returned, as I was on the breakfast rota, we had my now famous ‘Toasted Crispy Smoked Bacon Butties ‘ – smothered in ‘ HP ‘ Brown sauce – open on brown for Brenda, with mugs of strong/hot Tea.We then got the shopping list ready for tomorrow morning when I will be out on my travels, down to Sabinillas, for the last weekly shopping of 2018! Watch this space.

As usual, at the moment, it’s a little grey & overcast to start, the sun is attempting to break through, hopefully by lunchtime, when it’s due to reach 17/18 degs+ - overnight down to 10/11 degs, there is a very light breeze, which over the weekend is getting up, bringing with it, sadly, some of the ‘ wet-stuff’ – on most of the forecasts, patchy and heavy at times, next week after a wet start it’s now looking more settled, dry and sunny, in the high ‘ Teens’ by the following weekend, watch this space.

Just a quick update on yesterdays football results; Everton won 1-5, Liverpool 4-0 and Manchester City, lost again, 2-1 – meaning that Liverpool have gone 6 points clear at the top of the ‘Premier League’! More ‘ National Hunt Racing’ this afternoon from Kempton Park & Chepstow, where it’s the ‘ Welsh Grand National’

Over the past week our Pensions have arrived early in the ‘Spanish Bank Account’ – sadly at the time when the ‘ Euro’ is at it’s lowest in 2018! Onwards & upwards for 2019!!

This evening we are having sliced Cold ‘Roast Turkey’ – with a little Mixed Salad and twice-cooked ‘ Chips’! On Friday it will be a ‘ Fish Supper’ and then on Saturday ‘ Steak Night’ – the ‘ Menu’s’ from Sunday, when Tim & Thea are due to arrive, have been agreed, arranged and planned, they are on ‘ Full-Board’ – the ‘Penthouse Suite’ is ready, the ‘Wine Cellar’ is stocked and the ‘Spirit Cupboard’ also, the ‘ Larder’ shelves are full, it’s going to be a “ Helluva” – ‘ New Years Eve Celebration ’ – lasting 3/4 days!  Watch this space.
