A VERY WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY.

WEDNESDAY 5th/ DECEMBER 2018.

We were awoken this morning by the workmen cutting the new Marble Tiles to size, as they finished the lower wall around the Town Hall. ‘ Scoobie’ slept all night on the duvet, he then waits, very patiently, as we get our selves freshened up. We took him out for his first walk of the day, down the lower part of the village, Brenda called into the local ‘Sub-Post Office’ to post more Xmas Cards, on the way back I called into the local Bank in Calle Mar, for some cash and then Brenda picked up some prescriptions from the Chemists.

It was then time to go down to the main ‘ Medical Centre’ in Sabinillas for Brenda’s appointment with our Doctor, Natalia, for her three monthly  re-view/check up, I went and sat outside a local Bar, with ‘ Scoobie’ in the sunshine, she had to wait quite a while, as Natalia is very through with all her patients, all Brenda’s readings etc are fine, no new problems, she has adjusted some of her tablets, back in three months for another check up!

We then went out of Sabinillas along the coast road to check out the ‘ Manilva Beach’ Urbanization where Sandra & Bill have booked/reserved a four-bed-roomed Villa, it’s next to the ‘ ***** Camping ‘ site, It’s all very well kept and right next to the beach and a very good Chiriguito, you can walk into Castillo de la Duquesa and there is a good Supermarket very close, it will suit all the folks, just perfect for next October!  We can’t wait !!

This afternoon we settled down to watch “ A Place in the Sun “ with the new presenter Jean Johansson, a made the ‘Edit/Cut’ and was on for a couple of minutes, it also showed the village and us, with Sandra & Bill, sat outside ‘ Bar Rojas’ for our breakfast later, I already have had comments from a friend in the village, her two sons were very impressed that they knew a ‘Celebrity’ Over in Northwich, our dear friend Jane caught the show and sent us a picture of her large screen TV, showing our house, which we missed! Meanwhile up in France our old customers/friends, Terry & Alama also caught the programme, saying I looked ' Very Well ' - as well as the village looking beautiful!  " Thanks " to all !!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
