SATURDAY 15th/ DECEMBER 2018.
We had a nice, long, lie in this morning,
well deserved, after another great week down here on the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ – we then
freshened up and the ‘ Breakfast Chef’ (Brenda!) then produced her famous ‘
Campo’ Poached Eggs on Toast, Boiled for her, with mugs of strong Tea to start
the day in the right direction.

This morning we have awoken to another beautiful day here in sunny Manilva, the sky is blue, not a cloud in sight, the sun is out and there is, at the moment no breeze, it’s ‘ crisp’ but still warm on the sunny-side of the street, by lunchtime it will be 18/19 degs+ - perfect for the time of the year, tomorrow we are in for more of the same, next week is at the moment looking settled, if a little cooler, with only just the threat of the ‘ wet-stuff’ in the air, hovering in the mid ‘ teens’ for now, staying overnight at 11/12 degs - ‘Christmas Day & Boxing Day’ are going to be dry & sunny, ‘ Fingers Crossed’ Watch this space.

In ‘ Doggy World Heaven’ at the moment
we are ‘ doggy-free’ – this morning ‘ Chispa’ called into the see us, next Tuesday
both ‘ Charlie & Chico’ are due to arrive for their extended ‘Christmas Holidays’
with us until the New Year.
At the moment around in the “ Casa De
Los Torres “ ‘ Cultural Centre’ in the
next street the various acts are rehearsing for this afternoon/evenings ‘
Flamenco Show ‘ – we are going to pop along later this afternoon.

Then tomorrow lunchtime we will be going
down to the ‘ Iglesia Santa Ana – Church’ to watch the Annual ‘ Christmas Carol
Concert ‘ -performed by the local Choirs and the ‘Manilva Brass Band’

On the sports front this weekend; the early
kick-off at lunchtime in the ‘ Premier League’ is Manchester City at home to
Everton ( battle of the ‘ Blues’) then tomorrow Liverpool are at home to the
old foes ‘ Manchester Utd ( battle of the ‘Reds’) – over here in ‘ La Liga’
Real Madrid welcome Rayo Vallecano & tomorrow Barcelona travel to Levante.
This afternoon its’ National Hunt Racing’ from Cheltenham, the ‘home’ of the
sport.
This evening for our ‘Saturday Night
Steak Night’ we are having ‘Grilled Fillet Steaks’ – cooked on a very hot
griddle-plate ‘ Med-Rare’ – Pink no Blood, garnished with seared Asparagus
Spears, Button Mushrooms and Shallots, with finely sliced ‘ French’ Green Beans
and of course twice-cooked ‘ Frits’ – not forgetting the classic ‘ Bearnaise’
sauce. On Sunday for our supper it’s going to be ‘Pan-Seared Medallions of Pork
Fillet’ with a ‘Green Pepper Cream’ sauce, will a selection of fresh, local
Vegetables and our favourite ‘ Pommes Risolees ‘
This evening after supper we will be
channel hopping to find a good film to watch.
