A COOLER SUNNY MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY.

WEDNESDAY 12th/ DECEMBER 2018.

We had a long lie in this morning, in fact we overslept a little! Little prince ‘ Paddy’ spent all night across the foot of our bed with a blanket over him, he’s being collected later this afternoon, we are going to miss him terribly, he’s a real character and very loving, very good company and always full of ‘ Vim’! ‘Chispa has been in to say good-by to him!! Next week both ‘ Charlie & Chico’ are due to arrive on Tuesday, for their extended Xmas Holidays into the New Year. Watch this space.

After freshening up Brenda took him out for his first walk of the day, around the bottom of the village, meanwhile I called into the Town Hall, to arrange/reserve a spot in the underground car park for Tim & Thea, when they are with us over the New Year, for 3/4 days, I then managed to get a ‘spot’ down in the lower level, with an entrance key, at a very good rate!

While we were out the ‘ Council ‘ water-wagon washed down our street, we then had a quick toast & tea before getting another day on the go, Brenda popped down to local shop for some essentials, while I retired to the office/studio to catch up with all the news etc on the ‘ WWW’ and then type/post today’s Blog.

The forecast for today is partly cloudy with the sun breaking through later, reaching 18 degs+ by this afternoon, at the moment it’s a little grey & overcast, with a light breeze, sadly on all the forecasts (4) tomorrow it’s going to be raining and a lot cooler, as the breeze gets up and brings in another ‘Atlantic’ cold & wet front, oh dear ! Just as we are setting off across to Malaga, on the ‘Pensioners’ coach to see the ‘Xmas Light’ show and then go for our ‘Anniversary’ supper!!  The rest of the week and over the weekend is staying dry & sunny, but cooler, next week we are in for a very unsettled time, with patchy clouds, colder at times, and lots of the ‘ wet-stuff’ – hovering below 20 degs, overnight down to 9/10 degs,  up to the ‘Christmas’ Weekend, watch this space.

This coming weekend, on Sunday, down at the ‘Santa Ana Church’ at noon, it’s the Annual ‘Christmas Carol Concert’ with all the local Choirs and the ‘ School of Music’ Band playing a selection of Spanish and a couple of English Carols!

See below;

At lunchtime I’m making this evenings supper “ A Casserole of Sliced Beef Steak’ in a rich ‘ Red Wine, Mushroom & Onion/Shallot ‘ sauce, served with glazed Carrot Batons & Garden Peas & Parsley New Potatoes in their skins, tomorrow we are out for supper, hopefully, unless it’s cancelled! On Friday we are having a ‘ Fish n’Chip’ supper and Saturday is ‘ Steak Night’ – then on Sunday we will keep things simple as we are out at lunchtime for the ‘ Christmas Carol Concert ‘ Watch this space.

This afternoon& evening we will be channel hopping to find something to watch, last night after watching the “ The Royal Variety Performance “ – ‘ Cirque Du Soleil ‘ stole the show with a spectacular display, we watched a very good film “ The Departed “ – a crime drama directed by Martin Scorsese and starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson, Mark Wahlberg, Martin Sheen, Ray Winston & Alex Baldwin!! A ‘ Helluva’ cast, they are all killed bar one, watch it to find out who survives!!

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
