A GREY & OVERCAST START IN SUNNY MANILVA ON TUESDAY.

TUESDAY 11th/ DECEMBER 2018.

No lie in this morning, little prince ‘ Paddy’ spent the night sleeping across the foot of our bed, with a light blanket over him, he then waits while we get ourselves freshened up, we had a quick toast & tea and then walked down to the ‘Wine Centre’ for Brenda to catch the local bus down to Sabinillas, for her appointment with Annie, her regular Hairdresser, for a cut & style, I then came back up to the house, with ‘Paddy’ and we are now both up in the office/studio as I start typing/posting today’s Blog.

This morning has started a little grey & overcast and also a lot cooler, it’s forecast to clear later but will only reach 18 degs+ by later this afternoon,  tomorrow is the same and on all the forecasts that I follow, Thursday is now showing that patchy to heavy rain is possible, speaking to the Councillor, Dean, responsible for the ‘Pensioners’ coach trip across to Malaga on Thursday, he said, yesterday, that it could be cancelled?!  Watch this space.

The rest of the week and over the weekend is now looking dry & sunny, going just a little cooler at times, next week , leading up to the ‘ Christmas Weekend’ is more unsettled, with the ‘ wet-stuff’ in the air, patchy clouds and even cooler, down to 14 degs at times, ‘Xmas Day & Boxing Day’ are at the moment dry with sunshine!! Watch this space.

See below a spectacular ‘drone-view’ looking up the River Mersey and the old/new waterfront of Liverpool.

We have changed the menu’s around, this evening we are having ‘ Escalope’s of Chicken Breast’ – ‘Schnitzel ‘ style – using local breadcrumbs from the Bakery, topped with ‘ Campo’ Fried Eggs – ‘ Holstein’ style, served with finely sliced ‘ French’ Green Beans and twice-cooked ‘ Chips’ On Wednesday we are now having the ‘ Casserole of Sliced Beef Steak’ in a rich ‘Red Wine, Onion & Shallot’ sauce, Thursday is now TBC as we could be at home. Watch this space.

NB; In the lunchtime post we received our first Xmas cards ( 8 ) including ones from Jenny & Norah over in the UK and one from Sandra & Bill in Canada, as well various family & friends! " Thanks " !!

Yesterday on the Estepona Councils ‘ Facebook’ page they showed the Mayor, visiting the inside of the new Hospital, the work is progressing very quickly and the forecast is that it will be open before the end of 2019, this is very good news as it will cut our journey down from over 100 kms return to just 16 kms - as its’ on our side of Estepona, along the coast road.

We are back to following al the ‘Quiz’ shows that we follow; selecting from in the afternoon/evening ‘ Countdown, 15 to 1, Tipping Point, The Chase, Pointless, Eggheads, Only Connect & University Challenge ‘

This morning it was ‘ Lady’ Brenda who guessed, correctly, without hearing the clues, the eight-second, in reverse, ‘Music clip’ on ‘ Castle Radio FM 89.2 & Online on the WWW’ – the first listener to get it right! It was “ The Righteous Brothers “ – ‘ with the classic ‘ You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling ‘

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
