A WARM AND VERY SUNNY MANILVA ON THURSDAY;

THURSDAY 23rd/ OCTOBER 2014.

We had a lazy start to the day as ‘Reina’was dropped off early so we all then stayed in/on the bed until we felt like getting up – its great to be able to do this when we want to! We then had our usual breakfast of tea, toast and fresh fruit, I start with a ‘Weetibx’ in cold milk.

The weather today is already looking good, the sun was out first thing and it will get hotter as the day goes on, the ‘Levante’ breeze has dropped. Yesterday when I said that it would reach the 29/30degs mark I was a little bit out, in fact by the middle of the afternoon it was 35degs in sunny Manilva and over 36degs in Malaga – the hottest ever for this time of the year!

So today is a take it easy/at home day for us, no doubt ‘Chispa’ will come calling in later to play with her girlfriend, Brenda is pottering and will no doubt find something to do, at the moment some curtains are coming down!

Meanwhile I’m up in the office on the WWW catching up with all the news and sport reports by reading some of the newspapers and watching the news TV channels; last night I watched the Liverpool v Real Madrid game upstairs in the office, Liverpool were totally outclassed/played, Mario Balotelli was terrible and is just not performing and by half-time they were 3- nil down! The only thing that saved them from more humiliation was that Real Madrid took it easy in the second half and rested their best players for Saturday’s ‘El Clasico’ against Barcelona.

Just come off the 'Skype'video after speaking to our friend Andy, we have arranged to have his 'African Grey' parrot 'Charlie' for the week when Andy is going home to see his mum;I'm taking Andy to the airport over in Malaga in his car early on Wednesday morning November 5th and picking him up on the following Wednesday later in the evening at 11-45pm! On the Wednesday 5th I'm also dropping our Swedish fiend Lillemor at the bus station in Marbella at lunchtime. I will put his car away in the underground car park for safe keeping. afterwards!

At lunchtime we went for a short walk along Calle Mar with both the dogs and ended up at 'Bar Rojas' for a cool drink and Tapas,Anna came along and we had a small chat and gossip as we had not seen her for quiet some time! Then our friend Barbara came along on the way to pick Leah her younger daughter up from school - Barbara is due to give birth next week!

One little reminder to all our family and friends all over the world, please keep sending us some good old fashioned ‘Post Cards’ as we like receiving them and I’ve now just about to start on the second pin board!  Sadly when Norah & Jenny were in Portugal their post cards did not reach us, so far?! Come on over in Australia, Kuala Lumpur ( currently in Canada!) Europe,UK and North Wales!! We will send you one back from sunny Manilva by return post – promise!

The beach front down in Sabinillas this afternoon.

This evening we are having a leftovers supper with the ‘Pie’ and a fry-up of the vegetables and potatoes, we will then channel hop and find something to watch.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
