A WARM AND SUNNY MANLVA & ESTEPONA ON MONDAY AT THE START OF THE WEEK;

MONDAY 6th/ OCTOBER 2014

Well we were up before the sun this morning; we sorted ourselves out and shot across to Estepona as the sun was rising above the Mediterranean. It’s another glorious day here on the ‘Costa Del Sol’ with more to come during the week.

Our first stop after parking the car in the underground car park on the sea front was for our morning coffee & tostado for Brenda, I spotted that they were serving Bacon, Eggs and Toast – ‘English style’ So I had a little treat to start the day off, it was delicious, two proper soft- fried Eggs, five rashers of crispy Bacon and lots of English toast and tea (sin Lecher – no milk!) This was in a little café/bar just off the flower square as our regular café was closed for staff holidays.

I then went to my barbers ‘Manuel’ for a nice relaxing wash/cut/blow-dry and face massage as Brenda went off to get the batteries for the alarm clock and some essential cosmetics; we then met up and went to the ‘Kitchen shop’ and found an electric Black Pepper Grinder which you can adjust the grind on! On the way back to the car we spotted the ‘Camera shop’ that Den has used and checked out the tri-pods for my Christmas present! One ' Helluva' grinder " See below;

Our next port of call was to ‘Carrefour’ where we found some new slippers for both of us; it was then time to shoot up to the ‘Poligamo – Industrial estate’ to go to the ‘Car Hypermarket’ for some coolant for the car before we went to the large ‘Furniture World’ shop where we found a very nice rug that was for the chill-out room by the office but has ended up in the lounge as its so nice! See the picture below;

Our final stop was at our bank as we had received some documents in the post that we could not quiet translate, it turns out that there is a new rule that our Passports have to be photographed and put on record in the bank files. On the way back we called into ‘Mercadona’ for a couple of items that we missed on Friday.

See the pictures above of sunny Estepona this morning;

So after unloading back at the house we are settling down for the rest of day after a very successful shopping ‘expedition’ – its all in the planning! Tonight we are having Cold Chicken for supper with a fry-up of the leftover vegetables and potatoes.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
