A WARM AND SUNNY MANILVA ON SUNDAY;

SUNDAY 26th/ OCTOBER 2014.

No lie in this morning as the extra hour helped! It’s another glorious day here in sunny Manilva, the sun is out, the sky is blue and there is just a little ‘Levante’ breeze to make it very pleasant; we had Poached ‘Campo’ Eggs on toast for breakfast before we got the Sunday roast on the go.

Today it’s ‘Roast Topside of English Beef’ with Yorkshire Puddings and a rich finger licking pan gravy, from the vegetable department today they(she!) are keeping it simple, Cauliflower & Broccoli Florets in a three Chesses sauce, crushed Carrots & Turnips, Garden Peas, Baked Onion and Saffron New Potatoes and from the Roast Chef of course his famous Goose Fat Roast Potatoes!

See the picture below from Vegetable Chef and the Roast Chef - the Goose Fat Roast Potatoes will appear later and Yorkshire Puddings!

See below the Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding, the Goose Fat Roast Potatoes and Cauliflower/Broccoli Mornay;

We are then going to shower and freshen our self’s up before we go out for a walk in the village; we will then take things easy this afternoon and catch up with some reading.

This evening after our Roast Beef supper which we are really looking forward too we will settle down and find a film to watch. First thing in the morning I’m around at the surgery for my Blood tests and then an appointment with our Doctor as I have been feeling a little under the weather and off colour over the last week so its time for a good once over of all the vitals!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
