A VERY HOT & SUNNY MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY AT THE START OF JULY.

WEDNESDAY 1^ST/ JULY 2020.   “ NEW NORMALITY – DAY 10 “

We had a nice lie in this morning after another very hot & sticky night, as we were freshening up, as usual we were listening to the ‘ Lockdown Party’ show on “ Castle Radio FM 89.2 & Online on the WWW” – as this morning’s ‘ Mystery Voice’ quiz came on – Brenda got the correct answer straight away, it was Penelope Keith, the actress! Her first correct answer!!

For our breakfast we had our regular fresh fruit ( peeled/sliced Nectarines & Banana) with toast ( White & Brown Farmhouse) – with ‘Diet’ Strawberry Jam and mugs of very hot/strong ‘ PG Tips’ Tea, to set us up for the very hot day ahead.

Speaking of which, we are in for two/three very hot & sunny days, down here on the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ in a very sunny Manilva, it's now an official 'Sahara Heatwave '!! The sun was out first thing and the sky is bright blue & cloudless, with just a slight breeze, meaning that by lunchtime it’s due to reach 33/34 degs+ - overnight only back down to 20/21 degs+ - at the start of July. Over the weekend it’s going to be a little cooler as the breeze picks up, hovering in the high 20s, next week is now looking  like we are in for another ‘ Hot-One’ – with very hot sunshine, clear skies and very light breezes, the overall temperatures hovering in the high 20s/low 30s, watch this space.

One small technical problem, the ‘IPTV’ system has gone off-line again, for the 3^rd time in a week! I have tried all the re-set connection, checked out all the support systems etc, yesterday afternoon, with Brenda’s help I even tried to re-set the system myself, with no luck, so I called Andy for his assistance, again, we will have to wait to see when he can come, as he’s now back in work, from Monday, at the ‘Manilva Green Aparthotel’ which has now reopened! Watch this space.

For our supper this evening we are having ‘ Posh Chicken & Chips’ – seasoned ‘Escalopes of Chicken Breast’ – pan-seared on a very hot griddle-plate, garnished with seared Button Mushrooms, finished with a Lime/Butter salsa with a dash of Balsamic Vinegar, served with finely sliced ‘ French’ Green Beans and triple-cooked ‘ Chips’

Tomorrow evening we are going out for our supper, as at this time of the year we give the ‘ Head Chef’ and his staff, the night off, so we will go up to the top of our street and either turn left or right – ‘ Decisions ’!
