A VERY HOT & SUNNY MANILVA ON MONDAY AT THE START OF THE WEEK.

MONDAY 20th/ JULY 2020.   “ NEW NORMALITY – DAY 29 “

Just a little lie in this morning after another very close & ‘ sticky’ night, while we were freshening up I was listening to the ‘ Lockdown Party’ show on ‘ mix106fm’ as ‘ Castle Radio FM 89.2’ is off-line at the moment due to technical difficulties, the ‘ Mystery Voce’ quiz came on, it was very easy today, Andrew Lloyd Webber, on Friday it was James Nesbitt, see below.

As usual on a Monday morning I’m on the breakfast rota so I had my favourite ‘ Toasted Crispy Smoked Bacon Butty ‘ ( White Bread ) – open on Brown Toast for Brenda, with her favourite sliced/seared Button Mushrooms, tossed in the Bacon juices with a knob of Butter, some of which ended up in my Butty, with mugs of hot/strong Tea to start the week off!

It was then time for me to retire upstairs to the office/studio, first to go online and read the newspapers, check all the ‘E-Mails/Facebook’ messages etc, before editing my ‘ Crib Notes/Bullet Points’ as I then type/post today’s Blog.

We have a problem, again, with our ‘Landline’ – which is permanently engaged and not accepting calls, I have called ‘ OliveNet’ to report it, watch this space.

NB; I called the ‘Helpline’ and the problem was fixed straight away, the engineer re-configured the landline system and then called me back – “ RESULT “!

We were then able to call our English Bank ( HSBC)  over in Colwyn Bay, North Wales, to arrange our regular transfer of some annuities into our Spanish Bank ( Bank Popular ) down in Sabinillas.  “ RESULT “!!

At the start of the week, the sun was out early and the sky is cloudless & blue, with a light breeze, by lunchtime it’s due to reach 29/30 degs+ - overnight only dropping down to 21/22 degs+ - tomorrow will be the same, then on Wednesday its going warmer each day, with lots of very hot sunshine, hovering in the low/mid 30s, by the weekend going a little cooler as the breeze pick up, next week we are in for another ‘ Hot-One’ – all week in the low/mid 30s  -  with clear skies and lots of hot sunshine, with just slight breezes at times, watch this space.

Over in Everett, Ontario, Canada, Sandra & Bill yesterday published on ‘ Facebook’ pictures of the spectacular house, for ‘ Any of her city friends looking to move North? Going on the market soon... one hour to Toronto Pearson International Airport  ‘ – ‘ Not that we can go anywhere yet’ !

See below:

Just a quick update on the weekend football results; Chelsea won 1-3 & play Arsenal in the Final of the ‘FA Cup’ – over here in ‘La Liga’ Real Madrid, the Champions, could only draw 2-2 with lowly Leganes, as Barcelona won 0-5 and Lionel Messi won his seventh ‘ Golden Boot’ – his fourth in a row, after scoring 25 goals in the ‘ La Liga’ this season!

For our supper this evening we are having the rest of the Roast Chicken, from ‘ El Pastaña’ Rotisserie, with a selection of Mixed Salads and our ‘ Ensaladilla Rusa’ – the ‘Menus’ for the rest of the week- we are taking one day at the time, watch this space.

PS; See below how our ‘ Champagne Cellar ‘ would look, as a display, they would be of course laid-down – the large bottle (?) is the World famous ‘ Perrier-Jouet Belle Epoque ‘ – we have the – hand-painted flute glasses to drink if from!
