A VERY HOT & SUNNY MANILVA ON TUESDAY.

TUESDAY 7th/ JULY 2020.   “ NEW NORMALITY – DAY 16”

We managed a little lie in this morning after another ‘ sticky ‘ night, we then freshened up, at the same time listening to the ‘ Lockdown Party’ on “ Castle Radio FM 89.2 & Online on the WWW” – it was easy this morning, it was Rob Brydon, the presenter/comedian, see below Jodie Foster from yesterday!

I was also reading the latest news updates and noticed that over in Australia, in Melbourne, they are going back into ‘ Lockdown’ for 6 weeks, again! So we called Lyn, on ‘ Facebook Messenger for a video link up, as it was 10-00 am here, 6-00 pm over there! Lyn answered and also Annette was with her, she was staying the night, before the ‘ Lockdown’ started tomorrow, they were just about to have a ‘ Chicken Dinner’ – they are both very well and were full of joy & happiness! We had a nice catch-up with all their news.

“ STAY SAFE & WELL INSIDE AT ALL TIMES “

It was then time for a quick breakfast of fresh fruit (peeled/sliced Nectarines ) toast & tea, I then retired upstairs to the office/studio to catch up with all the ‘E-Mails – Facebook’ messages etc, before reading all the online newspapers, before typing/posting today’s Blog.

Brenda then ‘ masked/gloved’ up and went for a short walk, calling into the ‘ Suma’ supermarket to check the stock out for later in the week when it’s going to be a little cooler!

Overnight we had a nice news update from Sandra & Bill, over in Everett, Ontario, Canada, it is very hot and humid ( 32c – feels like 40c!) – so they are suffering, Sandra inside, working from home and poor Bill outside, slugging stones and digging! We are trying for a ‘ Skype’ video link up this weekend, watch this space.

This morning, as usual, we had a red sunrise over the ‘Mediterranean’- see below;

The sky is now clearing and blue, the clouds have dispersed, as there is a light breeze, so by lunchtime it’s due to reach 32/33 degs+ - overnight only back down to a ‘ clammy ’ 22 degs+! The rest of the week and over the weekend is going to be very warm and sunny, hovering in the high 20s, with light breezes, next week is now going to be ‘ Hot-One’ – back up to the low 30s, all week, with lots of very warm sunshine, by next weekend going up to 34/36 degs+!! Watch this space.

Yesterday morning the ' Councils Garden Dept' dropped off three of their stone planters with trees & shrubs, for outside " Bar Rojas Sol Vida " as you can see below

For our supper this evening we are having ‘Grilled Spanish Pork Loin Steaks’ garnished with seared Button Mushrooms, served with whole glazed ‘ Baby Carrots en Branch’ – ( see below )

With Broccoli Florets, whole Baby ‘ French’ Green Beans  & boiled Baby New Potatoes in their skins. Tomorrow evening it’s now going to be ‘ Chicken Empanadas’ with Chips, on Thursday, as usual, at this time of the year, the ‘ Head Chef and his staff have been given the night off, Friday will be of course our ‘ Fish Supper’ and then on Saturday it’s ‘ Steak Night’ – Sunday is still TBC, watch this space.

As usual we will be watching a little limited TV as we still have no proper ‘ IPTV’ system online at the moment, last night we caught later,  the next gripping episode of ‘Broadchurch’ ( the first series) on ‘Purple TV’?!
