MONDAY 6th/ JULY 2020. “ NEW NORMALITY – DAY 15 “
Just a little lie in this morning, at the start
of the week, after freshening up, as usual, on a Monday morning I was on the
breakfast rota so I had a ‘ Toasted Crispy Smoked Bacon Butty ‘ – smothered in ‘
HP’ Brown sauce – open on brown for Brenda, with some of her favourite
sliced/seared Button Mushrooms, tossed in the Bacon juices with a knob of
Butter, with mugs of very hot/strong Tea, to set us up for the week ahead.
As we were getting ready we were listening
to the ‘ Lockdown Party’ show on “ Castle Radio FM 89.2 & Online on the WWW”
– the ‘Mystery Voice’ came on, we got it straight away, it was Jodie Foster,
last Friday we guessed ‘ Boy George’ correctly, we had 4 out of 5 last week,
watch this space.
I then ‘masked/gloved’ up and went along to
the local ‘Tabacs’ to put some cash onto my ‘ Pay As You Go Mobile’ – then I
called at the Bank, next door, for some cash from the machine, when I returned
Brenda ‘ masked/gloved’ up and went around the local Monday market on the ‘Plaza
Pozo del Rey’ for some fresh wall plants & flowers ( who where not there?!)
Last night as we took in the fresh air on
our last walk of the day along ‘ Calle Mar’ it was a very clear & bright,
full ‘ Buck’ Moon, with Jupiter very clear in the cloudless black sky, see the
pictures below;
The sun was out early this morning and
there is just a very light breeze, the sky is blue and cloudless, so by
lunchtime it’s forecast to reach 29/30 degs+ - overnight only down to 20/21
degs+ - staying the same tomorrow, the rest of the week and over the coming
weekend it’s going a little cooler, with a few patchy clouds at times, with
lots of hot sunshine, hovering in the
high 20s, next week is now going to be ‘ Hot-One’ – back in the low/mid 30s, at
times up to 34/35 degs+! Watch this space.
Just a quick update on the football
results; Liverpool won 2-0 but Manchester City lost 1-0, over here in ‘La Liga’
Real Madrid won 0-1 & Barcelona won 1-4.
For our supper this evening we having the
same as last night ‘ Cold/Sliced Poached
Chicken Breast’ with ‘Ensaladilla Rusa’ and Mixed Salads, the ‘ Menu’s’ for the
rest of the week are yet to be agreed, watch this space.
After supper we will settle down to watch
the next gripping episode of “ Broadchuch’ – the first series - ‘ Fingers
Crossed’ - despite us still not having a full/new ‘IPTV’ system installed and
working, watch this space.
