A RATHER OVERCAST & GREY SUNNY MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY.

WEDNESDAY 20th/ MARCH 2019.   “ SPRING EQUINOX “

I was up even earlier this morning to welcome back little princess ‘ Reina’ for the day with us in ‘ Doggy World Heaven ‘ – I then freshened up and shot off across to the ‘Estepona Hospital’ for my third appointment of the week at the ‘ Physiotherapy Department’ for more treatment on my problem left-hand. I was extremely lucky, as I spotted a car leaving right by the Hospital, I then had my usual tostado & tea in ‘ Tikitapi’ before going into the Hospital.

This morning started rather grey & overcast, with dark clouds, at one point in Estepona it started to rain slightly, it then cleared up and the sun broke though, then at lunchtime when we were down in Sabinillas it started to rain again, there is a light breeze, with patchy clouds at times, it’s only reaching 15/16 degs – tomorrow is looking a little better, but as the breeze strengthens, the threat of the ‘ wet-stuff’ will still be in the air, it’s slowly going a little warmer, reaching 18 degs, but then hovering in the mid ‘ teens’ over the weekend and into next week, which is still looking rather unsettled for the time of the year, watch this space.

At lunchtime we went down to Sabinillas to the office of the family lawyers, ‘ Ammax ‘ - for our meeting/appointment to renew the yearly contact on the house, as well as list and discuss all the repairs etc that need seeing too around the house, the Lawyer/Son, Rafael, is calling in next week with his maintenance man to review all the problems, watch this space.

Back in sunny Manilva the Contractors have started on the work to refurbish ‘ Calle Iglasie ‘ – the main street down to the ‘ Santa Ana Church’ – it’s now closed and the temporary water pipes have been installed & fixed along the side of the street, just like they did along ‘ Calle Mar’ – as they build new drains, water pipes etc, they then dig up the street, it will then be finished with new lightening, seating, waste bins and a drainage system before the new road is relayed, watch this space.

On the ‘ Menu’ this evening we are having another old classic that used to be on all the ‘ A La Carte’ menus back in the 50/70s – we used to serve it on the ‘ Hotel Seventy Degrees’ menu – a special “ Mixed Grill “ – we have ‘English’ Lamb Chops, Gammon, Sausages & Smoked Back Bacon, local Chorizo, Plum Tomatoes, Button Mushrooms with ‘ Campo’ Fried Eggs, on the 70* menu we also served a Pork Chop, Bury Black Pudding, Kidneys & Steak! ( not included on ours!)  Of course accompanied with ‘Heinz Baked Beans’ and sautéed slices of thick-cut Baked Potatoes, no forgetting the ‘ HP Brown’ sauce!

This evening when Lee picks up ‘ Reina’ he’s going to stop and install the new ‘ URL’ on the ‘IPTV’ system, we will then be able to catch up with the last episodes of the series that have finished, including ‘ Shetland’ last night, then we will watch all the ‘ Quiz Shows’ that we follow, watch this space.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
