A BEAUTIFUL WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON MONDAY AT THE START OF THE WEEK.

MONDAY 4th/ MARCH 2019.     “ BRITISH PIE WEEK “ & " SHROVE TUESDAY "

I was up early this morning as I had my first, of five, appointments at the ‘Physiotherapy Department’ across at the ‘ Estepona Hospital’ this week. As I was freshening up I was listening the ‘ Andrew Charles Breakfast Show ‘  on “ Castle Radio FM 89.2 & Online on the WWW “ as this week’s ‘Music Quiz’ came on, for the first time this week without any clues, a 5 second played backwards track, I got it straight away, it was ‘ The Vapors’ with ‘ Turning Japanese ‘!  “ Correct “!!

As I was going along the coast past a sparkling Mediterranean, the sun was out and blinding all the traffic, I found a spot, first time, just past the Hospital, I then had a quick tea & tostado in ‘ Tikitapi’ before going in, I had the usual ‘ Hot-Wax’ treatment on my left-hand, then a deep massage before flexing/stress exercises to finish, I’m showing a gradual small/steady improvement with my two main fingers. We have another beautiful start to the week, down here on the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ – the sky is blue & clear, there is a light breeze coming off the Mediterranean, the sunshine is warm and by lunchtime it’s due to reach 20 degs+ - up to 22+ degs tomorrow, sadly on Wednesday as a new ‘ Atlantic ‘ front comes in, with the breeze increasing to a stiff wind, bringing with it some of the ‘ wet-stuff’! The rest of the week and over the weekend is looking dry & settled but a little cooler, down to 17/18 degs, overnight 8/9 degs, cold for the time of the year, next week is going to be dry & warmer, up to 23 degs by mid-week, but still with a light breeze keeping it ‘ fresh’ in the shade, watch this space.

Just a very quick football result from yesterday; sadly the ‘ Derby Game ‘ was a goal-less draw, meaning Liverpool are now 1 point behind Manchester City in the ‘ Premiere League’ with 9 games to go!

For our supper this evening we are having  the rest of the ‘Cold Roast Leg of Lamb’ – sliced and served with a small selection of the leftover Vegetables and ‘ Boulangere Potatoes, on Tuesday it’s going to be ‘ Pan-Seared Liver & Smoked Bacon’ with a rich ‘Onion, Shallot & Mushroom Red Wine Salsa’

PS; My famous ' Crepes' of Choice for dessert on ' Shrove Tuesday ' evening!

To celebrate “ British Pie Week “ we are having on Wednesday my famous “ Chicken & Mushroom Tarragon Pie “ topped with ‘Short Crust Pastry’! On Thursday it’s going to be find something in the fridge day, Friday is as usual ‘ Fish Night’ and Saturday is ‘ Steak Night’ – Sunday is still ‘ TBC’ Watch this space.

Yesterday evening after supper we settled down to watch the next very exciting and gripping episode of ‘Baptiste ‘ the gun drama was overcome, the Detectives wife escaped the ‘Bulgarian’ assassin, more parts of the plot came together, the strange ‘ Uncle’s’ father was the ‘ Head in a Bag’ – the assassin is now after his wife and the ‘ Detectives family, more ‘ Euro-cops’ are chasing the Bulgarian ‘Mafia’ – in a surprise the ‘ Detective ‘ discovers that the young Detective helping him, is in fact his son, from a previous girl friend, who now is the ‘ Chief of Police’ in Amsterdam! At the end the ‘Uncle’ was kidnapped by the ‘Bulgarian Mafia’ & assassin! Watch this space.

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
