A VERY ' FRESH' & SUNNY MANILVA ON TUESDAY.

TUESDAY 15th/ JANUARY 2019.

We had a little lie in this morning, as we have no dogs staying with us in ‘ Doggy World Heaven ‘ this week, after freshening up as I was on the breakfast rota so we had my now famous ‘ Toasted Crispy Smoked Bacon Butties’ – smothered in ‘ HP’ Brown sauce – open on brown for Brenda, with mugs of hot/strong tea.

Just after lunchtime ‘ Scruffy’ is being dropped off, for the evening, as Adrian has an appointment over at the main Hospital in Malaga. Chispa’ has just called in to see us, full of love and ‘ gusto’ as she is always.

We then sorted the ‘ Menu’s’ out for the week ahead, this evening we are having ‘Pan-Seared Escalope’s of Chicken Breast’ – finished in a ‘Lime & Balsamic Vinegar’ salsa, with twice-cooked ‘ Chips’ – then tomorrow evening for our ‘ Comfort Food- Dish of the Week’ we are having a ‘ Beef & Vegetable Stew topped with Savoury Herb Dumplings’!  Thursday is going to be a ‘ leftovers day’ – then on Friday our usual ‘ Fish Night’ – Saturday is ‘ Steak Night’ and on Sunday for our “Roast of the Day” we are having a ‘Roast Leg of Spanish Lamb’ with all the trimmings, resting on a bed of my famous ‘ Boulangere’ Potatoes.

Brenda has just popped along to the  Chemists in ‘ Calle Mar ‘ for our prescription tablets, as well as calling into the local shop at the bottom of our street for some essentials. I will pop down to our local Butcher later for tomorrows ‘Diced Beef’ for the stew. We then called our Bank over in North Wales, via the ‘ International Banking Service’ to make a transfer on one of our monthly  annuities, over to our Spanish Bank account, as the ‘Euro’ rate is up a little this morning( but still nearly 1 for 1!) anyway!

The sun broke through earlier and the sky has cleared and is bright blue, again, as there is a light breeze blowing, keeping it ‘ Fresh’ but still sunny, down here on the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ – still cold by our usual standards for the time of the year, reaching 17 degs+ by lunchtime, over the next few days we are in for more of the same, going a little cooler at times as the breeze gets up and brings with it some of the ‘ wet-stuff’ over the coming weekend, next week is looking the same, ‘ Crisp’ with patchy clouds, then sunny, but still with the threat of the ‘ wet-stuff’ - hovering in the mid/low ‘ teens’- down to 6/7 degs during the nights, watch this space.

We will be catching up with all the ‘Quiz Shows’ this afternoon and then following ‘Michael Portillo’ on his ‘Great Railway Journeys of Canada’ in Nova Scotia, later watching the second part of ‘ Silent Witness’ which ended last night’s episode with a surprise death of a young girl.

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
