A VERY ' CRISP' & SUNNY MANILVA ON TUESDAY.

TUESDAY 8th/ JANUARY 2018.

We managed another little lie in this morning, ‘Charlie’ spent the night with us on the rugs/duvet on the floor, after freshening up Brenda took him out for his first walk of the day, he dosn’t like his new tablets, he’s spitting them out, when we give him it in a small slice of Ham, so we are now having to double-bluff him!

As I was getting ready I was listening to the ‘Andrew Charles Breakfast Show’ on “ Castle Radio FM 89.2 & Online on the WWW “ – he’s been off-air for a few weeks, as there was ‘mains power cut’ in the village and when it came back on it blew his master computer system and he lost all the programmes, jingles & record library etc! The music quiz came on and he noticed that I was tuned in and said ‘ Sir’ Malcolm will get this one – I did, it was 13 second reversed track of “ The Police “ – ‘ De Do Do Do De Da Da Da ‘ -  from my record library when I was ‘ on-air’ with my live show!!

I was on the breakfast rota so we had ‘ Toasted English Pork Sausage Butties’ – smothered in ‘ HP’ Brown sauce – open on brown for Brenda, when she returned, with mugs of ‘ PG’ Tips Tea, we then agreed the menu’s for the week ahead, this evening we are having ‘ Grilled Gammon Steaks’ – topped with seared Pineapple Rings & ‘ Campo’ Fried Eggs, with Garden Peas and twice-cooked ‘ Chips’ – tomorrow morning I’m making my famous ‘ Chicken & Mushroom Curry ‘ – Thursday is find something in the fridge day, then on Friday we are having our ‘ Fish n’Chip Supper’ – Saturday will be our usual ‘ Steak Night’ and then next Sunday is still TBC, watch this space.

This morning it’s a little ‘ Fresh’ as there is a light breeze, blowing up from the Mediterranean, the sky has cleared and by lunchtime it’s due to reach 15/16 degs+  - over the next couple of days it’s going a little warmer, with more sunshine, then from Friday as the wind gets up, it’s bringing in a very cold patch with some of the ‘wet-stuff’ – then by Sunday it will clear and next week is looking more settled, hovering in the mid ‘ teens’ – down to 7/8 degs during the night, still ‘ cold’ by our standards, for the time of the year, watch this space.

See below the new updated picture on the large poster board at the entrance to the village, by the main roundabout.

Brenda has just popped along to the Chemists in ‘Calle Mar’ for our prescription tablets, this morning after breakfast I shot down to the main ‘Medical Centre’ in Sabinillas to make an appointment with the Nurse for my ‘ B12 ‘ injection, I’m going back tomorrow morning at 10-30 am!

We are taking things easy later as at the moment all the ‘ Xmas Decorations ‘  are coming down, this afternoon we will be catching up with all the ‘Quiz Shows ‘ that we follow ‘ Countdown, The 100 K Drop, The Chase, Eggheads, Pointless, Only Connect and University Challenge’ – last night a new series of ‘ Great Railway Journeys ‘ started with  ‘Michael Portillo’ in Alaska then later on Chris Tarrant’s ‘Extreme Railways ‘ started in the ‘ Alps’ – on trains in the mountains that I have been on when I was child, back in the late 50s/early 60s with my Dad & Mum!

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
