A WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON SUNDAY.

SUNDAY 15^th/ OCTOBER 2017.

We are back after a short ‘off-line’ period as the ‘ Movistar ‘ engineers installed the new ‘ Fiber Optic’ system on Friday lunchtime, they rang me while I was out on my travels, down in Sabinillas, for the weekly shopping, I then called into the main ‘Household Goods’ shop and bought a new landline phone, they installed it at the same time and also re-connected the ‘Heart Monitor Emergency Call’ system, Lee called in yesterday afternoon and re-set all the ‘Internet’ systems and re-instated the ‘Amazon Fire TV Stick ‘ and checked the speed readings, all OK!

We had a little lie in this morning before getting the day on the go, it’s very quiet in the village, and our life, we are missing all the excitement of the last couple of weeks, Brenda had a quick shower, I’m having my later, we then had breakfast, Brenda’s famous ‘Campo’ Poached Eggs on toast for me and Scrambled for Brenda, with mugs of strong tea, Brenda is catching up with the chores and as you can see  I’m up in the office/studio on the ‘ WWW’ reading all the E-Mails, Facebook messages, newspapers etc, before typing & posting the Blog.

On the 'Councils Blog' page this morning they have announced that the work on the new pedestrianization schemes is about to commence on Monday, the signs have gone back up,over the weekend,along ' Calle Mar ' closing the street down. Watch this space.

The weather forecast for today is showing warm & sunny, reaching 24/25 degs by lunchtime, next week we are in for a little change in the normal weather, for this time of the year, as the tail end of ‘ Hurricane Ophelia’ drops some of the wet stuff over us on Wednesday/Thursday, on it’s way towards the UK, it will also be overcast & cloudy, dropping down to 21/22 degs, we can’t complain as it’s the first rain in nearly 8 months!  Over next weekend it’s going back to normal, warm & sunny, watch this space.

For our supper this evening we are collecting a ‘ Roast Chicken’ from the ‘ Rotisserie’ in Calle Mar, that we ordered yesterday, we are having a light ‘ Tapas’ lunch sat outside ‘ Bar Castillo’ at the same time, with the ‘Roast Chicken’ we are having a selection of fresh vegetables and Baby ‘Parsley’ New Potatoes, in their skins, tomorrow we will have the rest of the Chicken, cold, with a nice Mixed salad.

On Tuesday/Wednesday, we have yet to plan the menus but on Thursday Daniela & Lee are joining us for supper when we are going to have ‘ Braised Steak’ with all the trimmings, next weekend we will be back in the old routine with a ‘ Roast’ on Sunday, Brenda has requested her favourite ‘ Loin of Pork ‘ – watch this space.

In ‘ Doggy World Heaven ‘ this week little princess ‘ Reina’ is back with us for three days from Wednesday, the following week she’s with us for three days, at the start of the week, and then ‘ Charlie ‘ is back with us for a long weekend break, there is still no sign of ‘ Chispa’ returning from her holidays down at the family ‘ Campo’ at the moment, watch this space.

Over the next few days we will catch up with all the series, that we have missed,  including  ‘The Last Post ’as next week it’s the final episodes of ‘ Lair ‘ & Cold Feet ‘ – then there are all new series starting/returning including ‘Peaky Blinders’ and a new three-part drama about the ‘Gunpowder’ plot.
