I was up before dawn this morning and after
a quick freshen up I shot off down to Sabinillas, as the large red sun was
coming up above the Mediterranean, my first port of call was at our Bank to
arrange a transfer, I then grabbed a quick tostado & tea before the ‘
Movistar’ shop opened, I’ve signed the new contract for the ‘Fiber Optic’ etc,
hopefully the engineers will come and install the system some time this week,
watch this space!
I then carried on to the ‘ Helicopteros
Santarios’ office to pay the half-yearly emergency health care contract, on the
way back through Sabinillas I called into the Council offices to collect the
new programme of events arranged by the ‘ Foreign Residents Department ‘ for
the next 9 months! When I returned I sorted out all the business files in the
office/studio as ‘Spanish’ bureaucracy creates a lot of paper work! Brenda then
called our Bank over in Colwyn Bay to arrange a regular transfer of some annuities,
as this morning the ‘Euro’ was up a little!
In ‘Doggy World Heaven’ this week little
princess ‘ Reina’ is back with us on Wednesday &Thursday, ‘Charlie’ is
coming for a long weekend break at the end of the month, there is still no sign
of ‘ Chispa’ coming back off her second holiday down at the family ‘Campo’
Watch this space.
We are in for another glorious week down
here on the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ – there is just a very light breeze, the sun was
out early and the sky is bright blue, by lunchtime it’s due to reach 25/26
degs, overnight it’s hovering on the 18/19 degs mark, the rest of the week and
over the weekend is going to be the same, getting hotter by Saturday, watch this
space.
This evening for our supper we are having
the rest of the ‘ Lancashire Hotpot’ I saved some Lamb Cutlets so I will
re-make the top of the pot ready to go back in the oven this evening. Tomorrow
evening we are having ‘ Grilled Gammon Steaks’ topped with Fried ‘ Campo’ Eggs
& twice-cooked Chips’ – then on Wednesday it’s going to be a ‘ Mushroom & Red Wine Casserole of Sliced
Beef Entrecote’ with Brenda’s famous ‘ Mashed’ Potato, Thursday we be ‘ leftovers
day’ – then on Friday its going to be a ‘ Fish n’ Chip supper, Saturday is ‘
Steak Night ‘ – back in the old routine! Home-cooked food at its best!!
Last night Brenda spoke to Sandra, as she
phoned us when they returned home to Everett, Ontario, they had a good flight
and were getting ready to go out with family/friends for their ‘ Thanksgiving’
Turkey dinner! They are sending some more pictures, so I will add them into the
‘ One Helluva Weeks’ Blog. ( KEEP CHECKING BACK !) We are missing them already and can’t wait for our
next ‘ Skype’ video chat.
