A WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON SUNDAY AT THE END OF A ' HELLUVA' WEEK.

SUNDAY 8^th/ OCTOBER 2017.

“ ONE HELLUVA WEEK “ – UPDATE.

After a good night’s sleep and a little lie in, as the village is very quiet, no church bells, no children playing and no deliveries, we are settling back into our routine, we had our normal breakfast of ‘ Weetabix’ toast & tea, we have no appointments next week except on Monday morning, I’m down in Sabinillas to sign the ‘Fiber Optic’ contract with Movistar, then calling into our bank to arrange a transfer before going along to ‘Helicopteros Sanitarios ‘ to re-sign the ‘Emergency Health Care ‘ contract.

We are waiting to hear when little princess ‘ Reina’ is back with us in ‘ Doggy World Heaven’ There is still no sign of ‘ Chispa’ returning from her second holiday down at the family ‘ Campo’

After breakfast I made this evenings supper ‘ Lancashire Hotpot ‘ to my own  version/recipe; I ‘ brown-off ‘ the ‘New Zealand, South Island, Lamb Cutlets/ Steaks’ after marinating them in Mixed Herbs/Rosemary & Olive Oil, I then build up, in layers, using sliced Onions & Potatoes with diced Carrots, Leeks, Celery & Turnips, seasoning each layer then topping up the pot with a rich Chicken/Beef & Vegetable stock, it will go in the oven this evening, near when its ready I dot the top with butter to ‘ crisp-up’ the top layer of potatoes- we are having glazed Peas & Carrots and shredded Beetroot!

This morning to sun was out early and the sky is clear and bright blue, it’s due to reach 24/25 degs later, next week is looking warm & sunny in the mid to high 20s.

At lunchtime we went along to ' Bar Castillo' for a nice cool drink and took in the sights, sounds & aromas of sunny Manilva.

I’m going to add some more pictures to the Blog as they arrive from Sandra, Bill, Norah & Jenny, keep checking! ‘Thanks’ to Norah for the special ‘Xmas’ calendar, that we use all the time, Jenny for my new supply of my special ‘tooth brushes’ and Sandra & Bill for all their special gifts, ‘Maple Syrup’’ Creekside Icewine’ and Brenda’s ‘ Pandora’ Bracelet as well as some White Handkerchiefs ( no monocrombs!)  - the “ Oh Canada “ sign is up in the office/studio!! Sandra & Bill are on their way back from Madrid to Toronto, they are in the ' air ' as I'm typing the Blog! As they arrive back in Everett, Ontario, its ' Thanksgiving ' in Canada, a ' Bank Holiday' weekend, so no work on Monday!!
