I was up early this morning to welcome back
little princess ‘ Reina’ for the day, as usual she shot upstairs into her
duvet, the village is very quiet this morning as it’s a ‘ Bank Holiday ‘ in
Spain – ‘ Hispanic Day- National Day ‘ when they celebrate Chistopher Columbus
arriving in the ‘Americas’ in 1492, there is a large military parade taking
place in Madrid at the moment, they ‘do’ parades very well in Spain, they are also
very colourful, as the ‘Spanish Foreign
Legions’ pass in their flowing robes, which I’m watching on the second screen
as I’m typing and posting the Blog.
After our regular breakfast we sorted the
shopping list out for tomorrow morning when I will be out on my travels down in
Sabinillas, I will also call into the ‘ Movistar ‘ office to activate the new
card in my Mobile phone, all our numbers etc have not changed, as we await the
installation of the new ‘Fiber Optic’ system in the next few days, watch this
space.
We have yet another very pleasant day down
here on the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ – the sun has broken through and although it’s a
little cloudy it’s still warm & sunny, by lunchtime it’s due to reach 25/26
degs, we are in for a nice weekend, getting a little hotter, then next week is
now looking warm, sunny and settled, watch this space.
See below some pictures of the ‘ Winnebago’
motor home that we arrived in 11 years ago, down here in sunny Manilva and the ‘Costa
Del Sol’ – this coming December!
For our supper this evening we are having
the rest of the ‘ Casserole of Beef’ with a fry-up of the leftover vegetables
& potatoes, tomorrow night it’s a homemade ‘ Fish n’ Chips’ supper, on Saturday
we are back to our ‘ Steak Night’ and then on Sunday it’s still TBC.
After all the excitement of last week we
are taking things very easy, catching up with the chores around the house,
settling back into our routine, we have no appointments due, at the moment, so
it’s back to our normal life here in sunny Manilva, relaxing, looking after the
dogs, eating & drinking, basically doing nothing, because we can!
Thoughts for the Day; See above.
