BACK TO NORMAL, A WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON THURSDAY:

THURSDAY 6th / OCTOBER 2016.

I was up first this morning to welcome back ‘ Reina’ for the day, she shot into her duvet before breakfast, she’s on ‘ Carrot’ diet! Thankfully I’m not so I had ‘Campo’ Fried Eggs with Crispy Smoked Bacon! ‘ Chispa’ is also back to her normal routine of calling in 2/3 times a day to see us and her friends, we then got the shopping list ready for tomorrow morning, I’ve got two appointments first thing, one at our surgery for a check up and the other one down at the main surgery in Sabinillas for my blood tests, I will then carry on my regular route for the main shop.

It’s a lovely day, the sun was out early and the sky is already bright blue, there is no breeze, the overall temperatures have dropped a little, 23/24 degs, over the next couple of days and the weekend they are due to drop a bit more, back to normal for the time of the year.

See below the sunrise this morning, back to normal for October!

For the is evenings supper we are having ‘ Grilled Chicken Wings’ with a Mixed Salad & Baked Potato, tomorrow I will pick up the fresh fish from the market in the morning, Saturday night it’s going to be ‘ Grilled Entrecote Steak’ and then on Sunday I’m making my famous ‘ Smoked Chicken & three Green Bean Risotto’

Yesterday afternoon Mano & Anna called in for a good chat and gossip, Mano is on holiday for all of October, so we will see more of them, meanwhile there has been a confirmed sighting of the ‘ Moffatt’s’ in Northern Spain, they are in ‘ Haro’ a town in the ‘ Rioja Region’ famous for its Red Wine! They are on their way to Madrid to meet up with Jo, see the picture below of Tim outside their motor home relaxing with a glass of Beer & Gin& Tonic for Thea, no Rioja?!

One bit of bad news this morning, we are in the middle of our various Pensions arriving in our ‘Spanish Bank Account’ – the ‘ Euro’ has dropped to its lowest level in the last five years, the forecast is that it’s will go down more over the next few months and could even reach ‘ Parity’ with the Pound! Watch this space!!

After supper last night we settled down to watch ‘ The Great British Bake Off’ on BBC 1 before going over to ITV 1 to catch the next exciting & gripping episode of the two-part ‘ DCI Banks’ as he eventually found the murderer and caught the nasty serial criminal, it had a very moving  moment at the end. This evening it’s the next episode of ‘ Paranoid’ which is building up to another very exciting climax!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
