A WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON SATURDAY;

SATURDAY 15th / OCTOBER 2016.

All three of us had a nice lie in this morning, ‘ Pax’ sleeps on his bed, all night, and gets up when we do, we then freshened up and went out for the first walk of the day around the bottom of the village, when we returned Brenda had a boiled egg, not ‘ Campo’ as they are not laying at the moment, and I had ‘ Crispy Smoked Bacon & Fried Eggs’ with toast, we are taking things very easy today, Brenda has just put some washing in as it’s a good drying day, I’m up in the office/studio, as you can see, on the WWW, reading all the newspapers, checking the E-Mails & Facebook messages etc, I will then type & post the Blog.

This morning the sun was out early and the sky is clear, there is no wind and we are in for a perfect day down here on the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ – by lunchtime its due to reach 26/27 degs, hot for the time of the year, its staying warm & sunny for the rest of the weekend and next week is looking warm and settled, watch this space.

At lunchtime we went up to ' Bar Castillo' for a nice cool drink, sat in the warm snshine.

See below a aerial view of Liverpool city centre and the ‘ Lady Chapel’ of the ‘ Anglican Cathedral’ looking spectacular!

This evening for our supper we are having ‘ Grilled Fillet Steaks ‘ cooked on a very hot griddle plate ‘ Med-Rare’ then left to rest, garnished with seared Baby Mushrooms & Asparagus Spears & ‘French Fried Onions’ ( Milk & Flour!) with whole, fine, Baby Green Beans and twice-cooked ‘ Pont Neuf’ –  the classic ‘ Door Step’ Chips!

Back to normal this weekend in the  ‘ Premiere League & La Liga ’; over in England later today Manchester City welcome Everton and then on Monday Liverpool welcome Manchester Utd, over here Barcelona are at home to Deportivo La Caruña & Real Madrid travel to Sevilla to play Real Betis.

See below a old picture of the opening of the ‘ Queensway Tunnel’ in Liverpool back in 1934, it reminded me that my Dad, Tommy Sexton, was the first person to ride a bike through the tunnel, after the then Queen officially opening it, it was only allowed on the first day, never again!

Last night we channel hopped and after supper we watched the next episode of ‘ The Level’ – the police  murder/drama set in Brighton, it started with another murder, a car chase followed by more family intrigue, pictures & documents going missing from the files in the police station and finally at the end at surprising development about the private life of the lady detective, watch this space.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
