A WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON SATURDAY;

SATURDAY 8^th / OCTOBER 2016.

We had a little lie in this morning, after a few early starts this week, after freshening up we went for the first walk of the day, before breakfast, with ‘Pax’ – yesterday  afternoon/evening we took him on a regular walk around the bottom of the village around the ‘Plaza de la Vendimia’ so as he could set his scents etc, he’s settled in very well, he’s started eating his special dry multi-vitamin food along with his treats & some ‘ Goodies’!

Yesterday afternoon after he had arrived he met ‘ Reina’ and then ‘ Chispa’ who came crashing in, she had been to the local vets for a trim & groom, this time they have done a better job, ‘Pax’ had also had a trim & groom before he arrived on his holidays, he’s also met ‘Scruffy’ last night when we went for a walk along Calle Mar to show him the village, at lunchtime today we are going to ‘Bar Castillo for a light ‘Tapas' lunch, all the locals & friends think he’s ‘ Charlie’ until we tell them!

Last night , as we went up to bed, he started off roaming around the house so we put extra water on the different floors, he likes his water and is drinking a lot, he finally settled down in the bedroom where we had put his bed, he ended up on our bed during the night and has slept well, he’s a real character and a joy to have around. Today as we went for our walk it was already warm & sunny with no breeze, the sky is clear & blue and it’s very pleasant to be out & about in the village, the weekend is looking settled and next we are in for more of the same.

For this evenings supper we are having a large ‘ Grilled Entrecote Steak ’ cooked on a very hot griddle plate ‘ Med-Rare’ and then left to rest before slicing in ‘ French’ style, garnished with seared Asparagus Spears & Button Mushrooms, thick-cut ‘ Pone Neuf’ chips on the side, with lots of ‘ Bearnasie’ sauce! On Sunday evening I’m making my famous ‘ Smoked Chicken & Three Green Bean Risotto’

This weekend there is no ‘ Premiere League or La Liga ’ football as its the  “ International World Cup Qualifier’s “  – Spain drew in Italy 1-1 and today England plat Malta, over at the ‘ Japanese Grand Prix ‘ Rosberg is on ‘pole’ with Hamilton second for tomorrow’s race.

Last night we channel hopped before watching the second episode of ‘ The Level ‘ – it’s very gripping with lots of twists, as the story unfolds, lots of excellent acting from the ensemble cast including Amanda Burton as the ‘Matriarchal’ head of the crime family.
