A STILL WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON SATURDAY AT THE START OF OCTOBER !

SATURDAY 1ST / OCTOBER 2016 !

We managed a nice lie in this morning before getting up to catch the gas-bottle delivery man, we then had Brenda’s special and famous ‘ Campo Poached Eggs on Toast’ with mugs of steaming ‘ PG Tips’ tea! The rest of the day we are taking things easy, Brenda is shampooing her hair and I’m up in the office/studio catching up on the WWW.

We have another fine and sunny day here on the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ – the sun broke through earlier and the breeze has dropped, the threat of rain has gone away, the weekend is staying warm & sunny, next week is looking good and settled, at the moment, watch this space.

See below a picture taken this morning of ' Falkner Square' in Liverpool on a beautiful Autumn Day!

Tomorrow we are going out for Sunday lunch with Lee & Daniela to our favourite restaurant ‘ Kokomo’ just past Estepona, we are celebrating Lee’s & my birthday's, we are looking forward to the ‘ Roast Sirloin of Beef & Yorkshire Pudding’!

On Monday ‘ Reina’ is back with us for four days as on Wednesday Brenda has an appointment at the  ‘ Costa Del Sol Hospital’ just past Marbella for her special blood tests at 8-50 am! We are waiting to hear from the hospital about her ‘ Kidney Ecogram ‘ & an appointment with the ‘ Kidney Consultant’  On the way back we are going into Estepona for some shopping, hopefully, at the same time, to collect our carriage clock, I’m going to my Barbers and then we are going up to the ‘Poligamo’ ( Industrial Estate ) to see if we can find some new ‘ Throws’ for the settees and also get a new filter for the Extraction Hood, the catch has broken on one of the three filters, they are still under guarantee, hopefully, watch this space.

Then on Friday I have two appointments, both very early, one with our Doctor, for a check up, and then one down at the main surgery in Sabinillas for my special blood tests re-blood pressure & my ‘PSI Prostrate readings’ ready for my appointment with my ‘ Prostrate Consultant’ at the start of November, after all this we both still feeling fine with no symptoms or pain, just the normal old age aches & pains!!

On Friday afternoon we have a new guest staying with us in ‘ Doggy World Heaven’ for a month, ‘Pax’ who is an older ‘Water Dog’ with hearing difficulties, his mum & dad are going over to Canada to see their family, they have had bad experiences with kennels and were recommended  to us by Brian & Jan ( Charlie the Water Dog!) He’s back with us over Xmas & the New Year as usual!

For this evenings supper we are having ‘ Grilled Entrecote Steak ‘ cooked on a very hot griddle plate ‘ Med-Rare’ and then left to rest before slicing it ‘ French’ style, garnished with seared Asparagus Spears & Button Mushrooms, on the side finely sliced Green Beans along with ' Bearnaise' sauce and twice-cooked classic ‘ Pont Neuf Chips’

On the sports front this weekend; over in the UK in the ‘ Premiere League’ Everton played last night against Crystal Palace at Goodison and drew 1-1, today Liverpool travel down to Swansea and Manchester City are in London to play Tottenham; over here in ‘ La Liga’ on Sunday Real Madrid welcome Eiber and Barcelona are in Celta Vigo, its the ‘ ‘Malaysian  Grand Prix’ tomorrow with Lewis Hamilton on the pole position and meanwhile over in the ‘USA’ it’s the ‘ Ryder Cup ‘ golf, with after day one, the Americans leading Europe 5-3!

Last night we channel hopped and watched various programmes before catching the start of a new police crime drama series on ‘ITV’ centring on a good lady detective cop with dark secrets “ The Level “ – it is another very gripping & exciting programme with a gruesome murder at the start, lots of intrigue, a missing witness that has been shot a spectacular attempted murder of someone  involved in the case, all this in the first episode!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
