A WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON MONDAY AT THE START OF THE WEEK:

MONDAY 3rd / OCTOBER 2016.

Back to normal this morning, I was up first to welcome back little princess ‘ Reina’ with us for the day, she’s here today, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday this week as we are out at the hospital early on Wednesday morning, she is also on a strict diet as she’s a little over weight! We have to keep this girl sleek & slim!! Speaking of little girls, last night after we came home ‘ Chispa’ came crashing in to welcome us home, she’s been on her second holiday down at the family ‘ Campo’- she was back first thing this morning for her breakfast!

We were awoken this morning by the sound of a jet wash, our neighbour, Mario, the councillor, is having his house washed down before re-painting, they blast off all the dirty white paint etc then scrape off what’s left. We then had breakfast, I treated myself to ‘ Crispy Smoked Bacon & ‘ Campo’ Fried Eggs’ with toast, Brenda had an open ‘ Butty’!

The morning has started a little overcast but the sun is just breaking through, there is a light breeze and it’s due to reach 27/28 degs by this afternoon, when we were out yesterday it reached the heady heights of 31 degs! The rest of the week is looking warm & settled, we are yet to find out what the weekend has in store for us, watch this space See below the beach front down in Sabinillas this morning.

.
See below some pictures taken this morning of the sunrise over ‘ Penmaenhead’ above Old Colwyn & over ‘ Snowdonia’ in North Wales.

Speaking of Old Colwyn, the Moffatt’s, Tim & Thea, are just about to set off on their travels back here to Spain in their Camper Van to see their daughter, Jo, who is working in Madrid, will they make it further down, watch this space.

For our supper this evening we are keeping things simple, ‘ Grilled Escalope’s of Chicken’ finished in a Lime & Balsamic Butter glaze, finely sliced Green Beans & sautéed thick-cut sliced Baked Potato, the rest of week is yet to be decided, tomorrow morning I'm making a batch of my famous Tomato Salsa to go away in the deep freeze for another day.

Sports news update; Europe lost the ‘ Ryder Cup’ to the USA, Lewis Hamilton is not a ‘happy bunny’ after his engine blew up at the ‘ Malaysian Grand Prix’ and over here in ‘ La Liga’ Real Madrid could only manage a 1-1 draw and Barcelona lost 4-3 after conceding three goals in over 11 mins! Oh and yes, Manchester City lost 2-0 and ‘Pep Guardiola’ was not a ‘happy camper’!

Last night we watched the results show of ‘ Strictly Come Dancing’ as ‘Anastacia’ could not take part in the ‘ dance off’ as she was injured, she then had a ‘ meltdown’ and the other couple were the first to leave, she should have thrown in the towel and left gracefully, how can she carry on this week?!Then in the next episode of ‘ Poldark’ is was all doom & gloom with financial problems, dirty deeds and at the very end the death by drowning of one of the main characters.

My memory from the past today shows a ‘ Morris Minor Estate ‘ just like the one we had when I was growing up back in the 60s! The one shown is a 'souped-up' version!!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
