A WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON MONDAY AT THE START OF THE WEEK;

MONDAY 19th / SEPTEMBER 2016.

We were rudely awoken this morning by the gas bottle delivery lorry ( with a new man) blowing his horn and making enough noise as possible as he came down our street! We then sorted ourselves out for the day ahead and the week also, at lunchtime ‘ Scruffy’ is being dropped off for a few hours, there has been no sign of ‘Chispa’ over the weekend, we think that she has gone down to the ‘ Campo’ – watch this space. ’Reina’ is back with us on Wednesday morning after her ‘ Camping ‘ holiday across in Tarifa, she doesn’t look very happy, see the picture below.

Tomorrow morning Brenda has her appointment with our Doctor for the results of all of her tests etc, for her half yearly check up, we are then carrying on down to Sabinillas for some messages and calling into the lawyers with some documents that need her attention, we will then go along to resort where Michelle & Matt and her family are staying over Xmas to check it out and make contact, this morning I have arranged a hire car for them with the company from Marbella, that we have used for many years, they have given me a very good all inclusive rate for the holiday period, they will deliver and collect the car from the resort.

We will then carry on back to Sotogrande to go for a shop in ‘ Iceland ‘ On Thursday morning Brenda is going down on the local bus to Sabinillas as she has an appointment at the hairdressers for a quick shampoo, cut & style, on Friday morning I’m out on my travels for the weekly shopping.

On Saturday evening we are going out for my ‘ birthday ‘ supper to our favourite ‘ Restaurante Macues ‘ in Puerto Duquesa, if they are open, I will ring them tomorrow evening, as at this time of year lots of the places go on their holidays after the summer ‘ Masses’ have gone home, we will use a taxi there & back, ‘ Plan B’ will be somewhere else in the marina!

At the start of the week it’s another fine day down here on the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ – the sun is out, the sky is blue, there is a little breeze and we are in for another very pleasant week ahead here in sunny Manilva, the weekend is also looking fine & settled,  the night time temperatures have also dropped so we are getting more sleep time!

The ' Council ' have just posted on Facebook the details of the procedure/consultations for the re-development/pedestrian free  ' Calle Mar' - watch this space!

For our supper this evening we are keeping it simple ‘ Cold Smoked York Ham’ with a ‘ fry up’ of the leftover vegetables & potatoes, the rest of the week is yet to be agreed with the ‘ staff’!

Yesterday evening after supper we watched the next episode of ‘ Poldark’ as ‘ Ross & Demelza ‘ battled going bankrupt, later we followed two late films, the award winning “ 12 Years a Slave “ – the true story of a born-free ‘ African-American’ man who was kidnapped and sold into slavery, with Chiwetel Ejiofor, Michael Fassbender, Lupita Nyongo, Benedict Cumberbatch & Brad Pitt; at the same time we caught the ‘ Cult’ crime action horror black comedy “ From Dusk Till Dawn “ written by Quentin Tarantino & starring him with George Clooney, Harvey Keitel, Juliette Lewis & Salma Hayek in her famous ‘ Stripper/ Dance’ scene with an  ‘ Albino Python ‘!!

PS; THE ' MOFFATTS' ARE FOUND !!
