A WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON MONDAY AT THE START OF THE WEEK;

MONDAY 12th / SEPTEMBER 2016.

We were up early this morning and after a quick freshen up we shot off down to the surgery for Brenda’s appointment for her Blood tests, mine are on Thursday morning, ‘Reina’ was dropped off by the folks as I was sat in the car outside the surgery, she’s with us for her normal five days this week,  Daniela is away on business in London for a couple of days so Lee is joining is for supper tomorrow evening, ‘Scruffy’ is being dropped off later this evening for a sleep over and then collected later on Tuesday, when we returned we had our usual breakfast.

It’s still very warm & sunny today but over the next couple of days its dropping a little, all the hot weather has been blown up and across to the UK! The rest of the week is looking settled and the weekend is at the moment going to be hot & sunny, watch this space.

For our supper this evening we are having the rest of the ‘ Lancashire Hot Pot’ that I’ve re-topped with Potato slices & more stock, I then shot down to our Butchers for some of his excellent ‘cut to order’ diced Beef, for our supper tomorrow night I’m going to make a ‘ Beef & Mushroom Casserole’ with Brenda’s famous ‘ Mashed Potato’!

Our old friends from Llandudno, Douglas & Lyn, are here with their friends and are staying in a villa in the lake district behind Malaga, we are going to make contact to arrange to meet up with them over the weekend or the start of next week before they go back, watch this space.

Last night after supper we settled down to watch the second episode of ‘Poldark’ – he was found ‘ not guilty ‘ – up’s sorry! – the story goes on, we then went over to ‘ITV’ and caught the final episode, sadly we have missed the first four, of ‘Slow Train Through Africa ‘ with Griff Rhys Jones, it was spectacular as he made his way down South Africa on various trains, he’s a cross between Michael Portillo & Michael Palin, we will try and find the missed episodes to watch.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
