A BREEZY, WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON THURSDAY;

THURSDAY 22nd / SEPTEMBER 2016.

We were both up early this morning and after a quick freshen up we sorted ourselves out for the day ahead, we had a quick breakfast as Brenda was shooting out to catch the local bus down to Sabinillas for her appointment at the hairdressers for a shampoo, cut & style, I then shot along to the local Bank in Calle Mar to pay our water Bill, Brenda keeps records of the water & electricity reading to check the bills before we pay them.( no standing orders!)

I, meanwhile saw ‘ Reina’ back with us for the day, she gave me a Post Card from her camping trip to Tarifa, with a message and her paw print, after reading my plea to keep them coming in, see the pictures below!

I’m now up in the office/studio on the ‘WWW’ catching up with the news, reading the online newspapers, E-Mails, Facebook Messages etc before typing & posting the Blog, the ‘ Castle Radio FM 89.2 & Online on the WWW’  web-page is being updated, check it out when you have the chance, see below.

Overnight a stiff breeze got up, all the window shutters were rattling, this morning it’s still breezy but the sun is still with us, the sky is blue and its getting warmer as the day goes on, over the weekend its staying warm & sunny, next week is looking settled. See below the picture taken last night of the spectacular waterfront of Liverpool. Don't forget to ' click on' to enlarge!

For this evenings supper we are having ‘Grilled Chicken Wings’ with a Baked Potato and a nice Mixed Salad, on Friday evening it’s going to be a ‘ Fish Night’ – on Sunday we are going to have our ‘ Steak Night’ as this Saturday it’s the ‘ Chef’s’ birthday and he’s going out for supper, time for somebody else to cook, for him! Watch this space.

Last night instead of watching ‘The Great British Bake Off’ we went across to BBC 2 to check out the new series of ‘ Coast: The Great Guide’ – it started in Cornwall- it was very interesting with some new presenters but was a little over produced and trying too hard to be ‘ in’! It was then time to cross over to ITV for the second part of ‘ DCI Banks’ as he tracked down a Chinese killer in Leeds, at the end of the programme there was a startling twist, very moving & gripping, next week’s two part episodes will no doubt be about what happened?! This evening we are going to check out the new police/crime drama ‘ Paranoid’

Tomorrow morning I’m out first thing on my travels down to Sabinillas for our weekly shopping, I’m going along the coast road to the offices of ‘ Helicopteros Santitaros’  to pay the second instalment of the years fees, it gives us peace of mind in case of an emergency, they responded very quickly and efficiently when we called them to see to Brenda’s foot/ankle, the other weekend, when she strained it!

We have booked a nice table at our favourite restaurant ‘ Restaurant Macues’  down in Puerto de la Duquesa on Saturday evening for my birthday celebrations, here in the village it’s the annual ‘ Cyclo-Cross Marathon’ - at the same time down in Castillo Duquesa in the Castle it’s the launch of the new programme of events organised by the Council, we are going to call in to check it out before going along for our supper later.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
