A STILL VERY CRISP AND BREEZY SUNNY MANILVA ON THURSDAY;

THURSDAY 5th/ FEBRUARY 2015.

Just a little lie in this morning after greeting ‘Reina’ earlier, we then had our breakfast before we braved going out in the stiff breeze, we wrapped up well and ventured out down to the Greengrocers in Call Mar for some Mushrooms, before going for a short walk back ‘Chispa’has escaped early and came with us. ‘Scruffy’ is due back with us on Saturday & Sunday.

We have another glorious day here in sunny Manilva with a bright Blue sky and the sun out early, it’s a couple of degrees warmer today and the forecast for over the weekend into next week is for more of the same and getting a little warmer by Sunday. The rest of Spain is in the grip of a very severe winter with very heavy snow drifts and floods in parts, over 40 regions are on alert and it’s a lot colder than here down on the ‘Costa Del Sol

We are having an at home day just taking things easy, Brenda is pottering about trying to find something to do and I’m up in the office on the WWW catching up with all the news from around the world, checking the E-Mails, reading message on Facebook and sending birthday greetings to friends and family as they show up on the day! We also still send Birthday cards to all the family and dear friends, the old fashioned way!

The menu’s for the over the weekend have been sorted, this evening we are having Omelets, Cheese for Brenda and Mushroom for me, on Friday its back to Fillets of Hake, then its ‘Entrecote Steak’ on Saturday before we have on Sunday ‘Shanks of Lamb’ in Minted Gravy.See the picture below of my 'Ham & Mushroom Omelets' with finely sliced Green Beans and a Baked Potato.

Tomorrow morning we are going down to Sabinillas for our weekly shopping and at the same time we are going to shoot down the coast road to Sotogrande to go to ‘Iceland, while we are there we will call into Pueblo Nuevo Guadiaro as Mano is ‘advising’ at a hotel that a friend has taken over, he goes over for a few hours after he finishes his night shift as the Night Manager at the Manilva Green Aparthotel.

Next week, possibly on Monday, we are going across to Estepona so as I can go to my barbers, I am also going to buy a new Tri-Pod for the my camera, Brenda will no doubt check out the sales, we will call into our bank at the same time to make sure that the transfer have gone through and the re-payment into our account have taken place, as promised, at the moment nothing has happened after checking online! Finally we will call into the car hypermarket for a container of oil for the car.

This evening we will after supper we will as usual watch the main news on TVE 1 before channel hopping.

PS; I've just been watching a speech made in Parliament earlier this week by the MP Glenda Jackson attacking the Minister of Pensions Mr.Ian Duncan Smith in which she speaks for over 5 minutes without notes, its very inspiring and totally takes him, his polices and his department apart in the most eloquent way - catch it if you can!!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
