A RATHER DAMP AND OVERCAST SUNNY MANILVA ON THURSDAY;

THURSDAY 12th/ FEBRUARY 2015.

I was up early this morning as ‘Reina’ was arriving for the day, we all then stayed in bed for a little lie in as it rather wet, grey and overcast in sunny Manilva as overnight we had a prolonged rain storm mainly due to the minimum temperatures going up from 6degs to 12degs and the wind dropping!In fact Manilva was on the main weather news update as the wettest place in Spain overnight!! The day time temperatures today are going up to 17degs despite the current weather!! This means that we are back to normal for this time of the year down here on the ‘Costa Del Sol

After our breakfast we are showering and freshening our self’s up, Brenda is also washing her hair so I’m typing the Blog while waiting for the bathroom to come free! ‘Scruffy’ is due with us at lunchtime for a two day sleep over and is being picked up on Saturday morning; we will then go for our weekly shopping down to Sabinillas.

Today is definitely an at home day, we will try and dodge the showers when we take the dogs out for their walks during the day, the forecast for the rest of the week and the weekend is dry and sunny and just getting a little warmer by the start of next week.

For supper this evening we are having the rest of the ‘Steak & Kidney Pie’ with a good old fry up of the leftover vegetables and potato; on Friday we have some of our favorite ‘Hake Fillets’ for our Friday Fish Supper night, on Saturday we are having ‘Entrecote Steak’ with all the trimmings and the ‘Roast’ on Sunday is going to be another old favorite ‘Roast Loin of Pork’

In the football last night Barcelona won 3-1 and the Ath Bilbao v Espanyol game was a 1-1 draw, second legs next week; over in the mid-week games in the ‘Premiere’ League in England Everton lost at Chelsea 1-0 and Manchester City won at Stoke 1-4.

See below 'Scruffy' waiting with great patience for his 'Dinner' which had some Steak & Kidney mixed in with his regular meal - it all went!

This evening after supper we will catch up with all the news, sport and weather details before channel hopping to find something to watch.

See below the picture of the famous " Ruinart Rose Champagne " bottle showing the art of the glassblowers in making the historical & unique shaped bottles!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
