A GREY,CLOUDY AND OVERCAST SUNNY MANILVA ON TUESDAY;

TUESDAY 10^th/ FEBRUARY 2015

I was up first thing this morning before day light to welcome ‘Reina’ here for the day, she promptly shot upstairs to go into her duvet across the foot of our bed, I followed soon after and we all had a nice long lie in as its grey, cloudy and overcast in sunny Manilva this morning. ‘Chispa’ came calling a little later and is playing around my feet as I’m typing the Blog.

The forecast for today is for more of the same before it starts to pick up for the rest of the week, at the same time getting just a little warmer during the day and night – 16/8degs!

For the Josie - the " Queen " of 'Peeves' !! 

After breakfast I shot out to top up the my mobile phone at the ‘Tabacs’ in Calle Mar then went down to the butchers for the diced Beef for tomorrow ‘Steak & Kidney Pie’ – at the same time I picked up some diced marinated Pork for this evening ‘Brochettes’ and also some Burgers, as he had just made them, for another time.

When I got back to the house I got the ‘Brochettes’ ready using Onions,Shallots.Mushrooms,Red & Green Peppers and also a little Chorizo; I marinated them in a Tarragon/Oil dressing along with the rest of the Marinade from the Pork – see the picture below. We are having them with plain ‘Basmati Rice and my famous Tomato Salsa on the side.

So today its defiantly an at home day taking thongs easy and catching up with the chores around the house, both the dogs are fine and we will go out for just a short walk so as they can do their ‘business’ as and when needed!

This evening we will channel hop after supper and find something to watch, last night there was nothing much on so we ended up watching a documentary on TVE 2 about  The Ice Man – Otzi ” He was found in 1991,by two German tourists, in the ‘Otztal Alps’hence the nickname, on the border of Austria & Italy, at the top of the ‘Similaun’ mountain,He is Europe’s oldest known natural human mummy and lived around 3.300 BC! The body and his belongings are on show in a Museum in Bolzano,South Tyrol, Italy!
