A CRISP AND VERY SUNNY MANILVA ON TUESDAY;

TUESDAY 24th/FEBRUARY 2015.

I was up first thing this morning to welcome little princess ‘Reina’ back to ‘Doggy World Heaven’ for the day, she shot upstairs and got into her duvet that was across the foot of our bed, I also was back upstairs and went back to bed for a nice lie in with the ‘Child Bride’!

After our usual breakfast we had a extra planning meeting as this weeks bookings in ‘Doggy World Heaven’ have changed; ‘Scruffy’ is not coming for his sleep over today at lunchtime and is not with us tomorrow also, Rose is not well, so she is off work for the week, so hence no ‘Scruffy’ We will miss not seeing him and having him here for company as I’ve said before he’s a real character! Hopefully he will be back with us some time next week!

At lunchtime we went for a walk with 'Reina' & 'Chispa' in the warm sunshine,we sat on our 'Derby & Joan' bench on the Mirador over looking the views across the valley to the mountains and down to the Med.Later Man & Anna called in for a chat and gossip and went away with a tub of my famous 'Minestrone' soup!

Instead tomorrow we are going out in the morning for one of our little adventure trips on the sunny ‘Costa Del Sol’ - our first port of call will be down in Sabinillas for some ‘Charity Shop’ viewing in the two main ones as they have offers on for 1 Euro!!

Next we are going along the coast to Estepona to call into the ‘Hypermarket’ to look for some new chopping boards, wood if possible, if not it will have to be the colored ones, as our two have finally given up the ghost and cracked up after many years of service in the busy kitchen!! At the same time we are calling into ‘La Casa’ for some night lights and new tea mugs.

It will then be time to check out a couple of restaurants for our Sunday lunch this weekend as we have a few places in mind; here in Duquesa Marina it could be ‘The Place’ or possible ‘Sabores’ on the front in Sabinillas.
In Guadalmina there is our old favorite ‘Tricky Ricky’s’ and one that we are going to check out ‘Cocomo’ on the ‘Golden Mile’ into Marbella, which has had some good reports, there is also of course another one of our favorites ‘La Sala’ in Puerto Banes , the celebrity restaurant which at the weekend is the place to be seen in!!

On the way back we are going into San Pedro de Alcantara for a ‘Tapas’ lunch by the new ‘Boulevard’ at the bar that has been using lately. The weather forecast is looking good, today we have a bright blue sky and the sun was out early, as the week goes on its more of the same and getting warmer by the weekend.

This evening for our supper we are having just a simple meal of pan-fried ‘Chicken Wings’ which we pick with our fingers and a nice Baked Potato using local ‘Spuds’! Then tomorrow evening we are having Grilled ‘Gammon Steaks’ with fresh Pineapple.

Last night after supper and catching the news, sport and latest weather updates we found a nice film to watch with no violence, shooting, stabbing, bad language, car chases & crashes etc. It was a true story about a young 11 years old Chinese boy who is chosen to go for training in Peking, from his village thousands of miles away from his parents “Mao’s Last Dancer” from 2009 is one to watch.

He ends up in America and become a famous Ballet Dancer, his name is ‘Li Cunxin’ and he is played in the film by ‘Chi-Cao’ who was a famous ballet dancer with the ‘Birmingham Royal Ballet Dance Company’ in England! Bruce Greenwood is his ‘Mentor & Teacher’ Kyle Maclachlan is a cleaver human rights lawyer and Jack Thompson, the old Australian actor is a Judge – all actual characters who helped him!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.

PS; See below some other reminders for the ‘Reds’ ‘Blues’ and ‘Veggies’ “ Scouse Lovers” We are having ours next week on Wednesday!!
