A VERY VERY HOT SUNNY MANILVA ON THURSDAY;

THURSDAY 14th/AUGUST 2014.

I was up before dawn this morning and shot out for the car and then picked Lilli up to take her across to the bus station over in Marbella to catch her flight back to Helsinki from Malaga – see the picture below. She is going back to sort out the loose ends etc and will back in a couple of weeks, hopefully she has caught the plane as the bus time table had changed just like when I took Brian back for the same flight a few weeks ago?!

Meanwhile back in ‘Doggy World Heaven’ Brenda was looking after ‘Scruffy’ after his sleep over, he was picked up later this morning, then little princess ‘Reina’ arrived for the day’ ‘Scruffy’ is back tomorrow morning for another sleep over but now only for one night, next week ‘Reina is with us on Monday for the day and then the rest of the week is yet to be arranged for them both,

This morning when I got back from Marbella we took then for their morning walks and the later just ‘Reina’as we called into the local bank to pay the electricity bill and then go down to the butchers for our Saturday night ‘Entrecote’ steaks. At the moment ‘Chispa’ has called in and is playing around my feet with ‘Reina’ sat on the secretary’s chair!

Our weekend is staring to pan out as yesterday I made contact with Kathrin and we have arranged to meet her with her son Nick and his girlfriend Frankie for lunch on Sunday up a ‘Bar Rojas’ for the special ‘Paella’ made by Lumy, I called in this morning when we were out and organized our table and at the same time asked Lumy to make some of her delicious ‘Gazpacho’ which we will have as a long cool drink to start! Then we are out on Monday evening for an ‘al fresco’ supper around at ‘Maj’s’?! - as her very good friends know her!

Some news just in from the ever expanding “New Moon Pub Company”is that their latest acquisition in Chester city centre the ‘Linenhall’is due to close at the end of September for a refurbishment/update/make over and will re-open as the “ Mockingbird Taproom” in October!!

This evening for our supper we are having ‘Omelet’- Cheese for Brenda and Ham for me – with dry-sautéed new potatoes and diamond-cut Green Beans; last night we had a choice of two films to watch, either “ The Dirty Dozen ” or the re-make of “ The Italian Job ” – we choose the first!

Later I watched an American award winning period crime drama TV series “ Boardwalk Empire ”based on the story of Atlantic City, New Jersey’ hence the title’ Steve Buscemi is the main character in what is now Season 5 going back to 2010! With a large ‘ensemble’ cast with the actress Kelley Macdonald standing out, its one not to miss!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
