A VERY SUNNY MANILVA ON SUNDAY;

SUNDAY 17th /AUGUST 2014.

A little lie in this morning and after a Poached Eggs on Toast breakfast we are having a leisurely morning taking things easy, shaving (me!) showering and getting ready to go out later for lunch; we are meeting Kathrin and her family up at ‘Bar Rojas’ for a ‘Gazpacho & Paella’ late lunch.See the picture above.

Before they arrive from going around the Sunday market in Estepona marina, I’m popping out to the local bank in Calle Mar for some cash and at the same time I’m going to pick up/order a Roast Chicken from the ‘Rotisserie’ for tonight’s supper.

Thankfully it’s a little cooler today 29/30degs with a little welcoming breeze but its back to normal next week and getting hotter!

This afternoon I will watch one or both of the games over in the Premiere League with Liverpool or City; then later the high lights of the ‘Czech Motor GP when Marques goes for 11 out of 11 wins?!

Livepool won 2-1 v Southampton,Manchester City have just beaten Newcastle 0-2 and sadly Marques did not win,his team mate Pedrosa did!

Last night after supper we channel hopped for a while and then settled down to watch the American police procedural drama series “ Blue Bloods ” filmed in New York on location; it stars Tom Selleck and his ‘Moustache’ as the Police Commissioner with all his family as cops, his eldest son is a Detective, his youngest son is a ‘Rookie’ cop on the beat, his daughter is an assistant DA and another son was killed on duty as a beat cop! His father was before him the Police Commissioner, they all spend time together as a family and in each episode at the end they all gather for Sunday lunch around the table in the old family house! Oh and yes Selleck’s wife has died of cancer a few years before!

Every episode is self contained with an on going theme, they always get their man and solve the crime by the end! One to watch!

So tonight’s supper is the Roast Chicken with a nice Mixed salad and a dish of ‘Parisienne’ potatoes and lots of Mayonnaise on the side!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
