A VERY HOT AND SUNNY MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY;

WEDNESDAY 6th/ AUGUST 2014.

After a quick breakfast Brenda went off to the surgery for her appointment with our doctor, she walked there slowly as it was nice and cool before the sun came around and it got hotter; meanwhile I waited in for little princess ‘Reina’ to arrive, which she did but a bit late, she’s with us today and tomorrow and then next week it’s back to normal on Tuesday and Thursday.

‘Scruffy’ is with us on this Friday and then he’s here for a sleep-over next Friday and Saturday,’Chispa’ as normal is in and out at all times of the day and evening.

Brenda has a new tablet to help with her general health and we are going to chase the hospital for her appointment with the ‘Cardiology Consultant’ for her review sooner than later; I have a six month Prostrate review in November and before that Brenda is due back for her review with the ‘Eye Consultant’ in October – we will survive!

Later this morning we had a nice surprise Skype phone call on my mobile from Zoë over in Manchester, we have not been in touch for quiet a while so we had a good long catch up with her. Nice to hear from Zoë & Graham.

Tomorrow lunchtime Claus & Doreen are calling in, then we are going down to ‘Bodegon Andaluz’ for a light Tapas lunch where Kathrin is also going to join us to wish them a safe journey back to Germany on Friday.

This evening the ‘Feria’ starts and goes on until Sunday, the ‘Feria Queens’ procession is on Friday evening along Calle Mar when the ‘Chi Chi Pom’ band leads the various floats; the new camera’s first official outing! I’ve been playing with it this morning and now I have mastered the basics including taking ‘Selfie’s’ – watch out for the first one of us together!

On the menu front at this time of the year we keep it pretty simple; this evening its ‘Omelet’s’- then tomorrow we are having Pork Chops with vegetables, Fish on Friday depending what's in the market and then Steak on Saturday – all the details later.

So this evening after supper we will catch up with all the news, sport and weather reports before we find, hopefully a good film to watch – certainly not the “ Fockers” again!!

PS; NEWSFLASH/UPDATE; Brian & Lilli crossed over the " Oresund "bridge/tunnel at night,its' the longest of it's kind ( 12kms ) in Europe and joins Sweden to Denmark!  - they are currently approaching Dijon/Lyon - when will they arrive in sunny Manilva?!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
