A VERY HOT AND SUNNY ESTEPONA & MANILVA ON TUESDAY;

TUESDAY 5th/ AUGUST 2014.

We got up early this morning and freshened ourselves up before grabbing a ‘Weetabix’ for me and a quick cuppa; we then collect the ‘Queen of Skelton’ and her ‘Consort’ – Josie & Den!’ – and shot across to Estepona and parked in the underground/promenade car park right in the center of the town; we then stopped for our Coffee’s and Tostado’s opposite my barber’s shop ‘Manuel’- we had a planning meeting to decide where we were going.

Brenda & Josie went off shopping and Den went roaming, we met up later after Brenda had got her essential make-up and at the same time found a new belt and some very nice slip-on sandals! We then collected the car and set off our travels, first up to the ‘Poligimo’ – ‘Industrial Estate’ above Estepona as Den & Joisie wanted to go to their favourite bedding shop for a new duvet and some table lamps, at the same time we spotted some very nice table mats!

Next on the list was the Hypermarket “Carrefour” to check out the camera’s; with my technical consultant’s( Den!) help we selected a rather special “Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H3OO” which was on offer and with my ‘Carrefour’ card was a very good deal! At the same time I bought the necessary memory card and a new battery charger, the batteries were complementary! Thanks to Den for his knowledge and guidance!! Downstairs meanwhile Josie had found the perfect bed-side table/drawers that she has been looking for!

It was then time to carry to the very large ‘Garden Centre/World’ past Estepona for our plants for the outside pots display, we’ve gone all Red as none of the Yellow one’s were suitable; we then came back along to Estepona and dropped down again into the underground car park as we were going for lunch in ‘Flower Square’ in the center of the Town.

Sadly our favourite restaurant has closed so we went to one of Den & Josie’s favorites next to the square where we had a very nice meal; the ladies had some very nice deep bowl/salads, Den had the ‘Scrambled Eggs with Mushrooms and Prawns’ and I had my favourite ‘ Pan-Fried Chicken Breast’ with crisp Chips and a fried Egg on the side! The cool drinks helped to make it a very pleasant lunchtime sat under the umbrellas as today it’s the hottest day so far with very little breeze!

With Dens help and advice we set up the new camera and took the first pictures, as you can see in the picture that Josie took below I’ am looking rather pleased with my self and the new camera!! After posting the Blog I’ am going to attempt to post the pictures from the new camera – watch this space and finger’s crossed! SUCCESS ! as you can see in the pictures above!

We also had an official handing over ceremony of the old camera to the newly appointed ‘ Junior Assistant Photographer’( Brenda!) with a remit to go roaming and produce some local pictures that might appear on the Blog at a later date as the ‘Senior Photographer/Journalist’ has the final say and editing rights!!

Just as we were about to leave Kathrin & Bruno came along for an ice cream at the favoutite ice cream parlor in front of us so we introduced them – it’s a small World!

We have just decided to give the ‘Chef’ the night off so we are going later for a little light supper locally.

PS’ As we speak Brain & Lilli with the dogs are on the ferry to Sweden?! They are due to arrive here in sunny Manilva by Thursday/Friday – we can’t wait to see them and are getting very excited!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
