A VERY HOT AND SUNNY MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY;

WEDNESDAY 13th/ AUGUST 2014.

Another early start this morning, after breakfast we shot down to Sabinillas to do the weekly shopping, top up the car with petrol and when we got back to the house I checked the oil and water – tomorrow morning I’m taking Lilli to the bus station over in Marbella at 7-30am as she fly’s back to Finland.

Last night Brian did not make it back from work in time for supper but Lilli joined us as we had a good old catch up; ‘Chispa’ came crashing in as we were eating our supper, the ‘Gammon’ steaks were a nice change.

At lunchtime ‘Scruffy’ is arriving for a sleep over and then tomorrow morning after I have left ‘Reina’ arrives for the day before ‘Scruffy’ is picked up! So Brenda is being left in charge in ‘Doggy World Heaven’!!

The weather forecast is showing its getting a little hotter now and over the weekend and into next week; there is a slight breeze this morning that is making it just bearable, a welcome surprise.

Yesterday “ Queenie ”  as she is know to her loyal subjects was spotted taking/bathing in the sulphur waters down at the “ Roman Baths ”( Not Bath UK!) in the valley below the village; Den was on guard duty watching out for any roaming wild pigs approaching the ‘Royal’ party, a local ‘Manilivan’ man ‘Juan’ was also there as usual playing his flute as she splashed around in the pool! There is a tradition of royal visitors to the pool, the ‘Emperor Tiberius’ also used the waters to help with his skin condition, not that the ‘Queen of Skelton’ needs too!!

We have also been invited to dine at the royal residence next week for an alfresco supper, which we are looking forward to. It’s just been confirmed at 7-30pm on Monday – it’s in the diary. We hear that the Queen has given her personal ‘Cordon Bleu’ chef and the servants the night off – she is preparing the supper herself!

So this evening we are having ‘Entrecote’ steak plain cooked on the griddle med-rare with some finely sliced Green Beans and a nice Mixed salad with a few dry-sautéed potatoes on the side, we will then watch the news before finding something to watch.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
