A VERY HOT AND SUNNY MANILVA ON SUNDAY;

SUNDAY 10th / AUGUST 2014.

We had another little lie in this morning as next week we are up early by our standards most mornings! For breakfast there was a nice surprise waiting for me “Poached Campo Eggs on Toast! – the poaching ‘Queen’ at her best as you can see in the pictures below with a steaming mug of tea and of course ‘HP’ Sauce!

Its party time in sunny Manilva this afternoon with two bands playing on the two stages, one is not enough! So later we will check things out, well someone has to do it! Tonight is the last day of the ‘Feria’ down on the ‘Rastro’ ground in the valley below the village.

The latest spotting of the ‘Queen of Skelton’ and her entourage was yesterday down on the beach in Sabinillas when she went swimming with a friend, she kept her sun glasses on so as not to be recognized by the local ‘Papararrazi’!! Her personal photographer took some pictures for posterity!!

This evening for supper we are having ‘Chicken Wings’ cooked on the griddle with a nice Mixed salad on the side – simple but very tasty. Tomorrow night we are having ‘Entrecote’ steak again as Brian & Lilli did not make it last night- with Baked Potato and more salad! Then on Tuesday its going to be the ‘Gammon’ steaks topped with Pineapple rings and Campo Fried Eggs with Garden Peas and twice-cooked Chips.

Next week here in ‘Doggy World Heaven’ little princess ‘Reina’ is with us on Tuesday & Thursday and ‘Scruffy’ is here on a sleep over on Friday & Saturday; no doubt ‘Chispa’ will be in and out to see her friends and play with them.

Claus & Doreen are back safely in Bremen in Germany after their long drive back and are now sleeping before going back to work on Monday; it was so nice to see them again and we are already looking forward to seeing them again in October.

Last night after supper we had the choice of two films to watch and choose – “ Day of the Falcon – Black Rain ” from 2011 with Antonio Banderas,Akin Gazi, Frieda Pinto,Mark Strong, Riz Ahmed and Tahar Rahim. As you can guess it’s a drama about the early days of Modern Arabia – lots of sand & sheiks – a bit slow and drawn out with bad accents from Banderas & Strong over acting!

Thoughts for the Day; see above.
