AT THE MOMENT A COLD & DRY SUNNY MANILVA ON TUESDAY.

TUESDAY 21st/ JANUARY 2020.

Brenda was up first this morning to see little ‘ Miss Bella’ back with us for the day, we then all had a nice long lie in, in fact, we again overslept! ‘ Miss Bella’ goes on her little rug across the foot of our bed and stays there until we are ready to go downstairs, after freshening up we had our usual toast & tea, with mugs of hot/strong tea.

At lunchtime we have a surprise guest with us in ‘ Doggy World Heaven’ as last night, late on, we had a message from Rose, asking could we look after ‘ Scruffy’ for a few hours today, as Adrian has a late appointment at the ‘ Costa Del Sol Hospital ‘ this afternoon.

This morning has started dry and very cold after yesterdays rain during the evening and into the night, the breeze has now stiffened, the sky is blue & cloudless, so by lunchtime it will only reach 14 degs+ - with the threat of more ‘Wet-Stuff’ still in the air, later, overnight it went down to just 5 degs, the coldest night since we arrived down here on the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ back in 2006! On all the local ‘ Social Media’ the ‘ex-pats’ are all still complaining about losing the ‘ Winter Fuel Allowance’ a few years ago! ( 250 pounds!)

See below the beach front down in Sabinillas this morning.

Over the rest of Spain, especially up north and along the coast of the Mediterranean, they have had severe snow falls, even along the sandy beaches, which is most unusual, I remember back in North Wales, at the ‘Hotel Seventy Degrees’ above Colwyn Bay, we only had a snow fall, once in 13 years!

Tomorrow and for the rest of the week and over the weekend, we are still in for a prolonged wet spell, with moderate to heavy ‘RAIN’ – hovering down in the low ‘ Teens’ as the breeze picks up, with no sunshine in sight, next week is now hopefully going to be a lot more settled & dry, back in the high ‘Teens’ with the return of the sun in sunny Manilva! Watch this space.

For our supper this evening we are having for a change “ Pie & Chips”  - a ‘Wrights Homemade Beef & Vegetable Pasty’ for me, and a ‘Steak & Kidney Pie’ for Brenda! Served with Garden Peas and triple-cooked ‘ Chips’ with a sauceboat of ‘ Pan Gravy’

See below;

This afternoon we are going to watch the second episode of the award winning ‘ Cold Feet ‘ then after supper we will catch the second part of the weeks ‘ Silent Witness as the team try to find the murderer, with two bodies so far!

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
