A STILL LITTLE GREY & OVERCAST SUNNY MANILVA ON THURSDAY.

THURSDAY 9th/ JANUARY 2020.

I was up first this morning to see little ‘ Miss Bella’ back with us for the day, as usual, she shot upstairs on to our bed and joined Brenda for a little lie in, after freshening up we had our regular light breakfast of toast & tea, we then put together the shopping list for tomorrow morning, as I will be out on my travels, down to Sabinillas, on the local bus, as there is still no sign of the car coming back from the garage!

PS; Leah has now very kindly offered to take me down for our shopping on Friday morning, after she has dropped Deemy off at his school in Sotogrande, 'Thanks' !

We then took ‘ Miss Bella’ out for a short walk to check that the local bus is still coming to the ‘Wine Centre’ stop, the work on the main entrance road into the village has not started yet!

This evening ‘ Scruffy’ is back with us for a sleep-over, until later tomorrow afternoon/evening, as Adrian is in the ‘ Costa Del Sol Hospital’  for a six-hour ‘ heart-drip’ treatment.

This morning has started grey & overcast with a cooling breeze, the forecast is for it to clear by lunchtime, when it will be sunny, with a few patchy clouds hanging around, only reaching16 degs+ - now very hot & sunny, tomorrow is looking the same, then over the weekend as the breeze stiffens a little, it’s going cooler, down to 14/15 degs, with a small chance of the ‘Wet-Stuff’ back in the air, when we are out on Sunday, with our dear friend ‘ Joyce baby’ for ‘ Sunday Lunch’ – we have booked a table at ‘ La Taberna 2 ‘ down in ‘Castillo de la Duquesa’

Next week has now settled down, it’s going to be dry & sunny, with a few patchy clouds, all week, the breeze will have dropped and the temperatures will be hovering in the mid/high ‘ teens’ – 17/18 degs+ - overnight down to 10 degs, about normal for the time of the year, watch this space.

Over in Liverpool, on the River Mersey this morning the “ MS Norbank “ a ‘ Ro-Ro’ freight vessel, on the Liverpool to Dublin route, was spotted passing ‘ Crosby beach, on her way into the ‘Port of Liverpool’ with one of the ‘” Sir Antony Gormley “ - ‘Another Place ‘ cast-iron figures/statues ( 100 ) watching her pass by!

On our lunchtime walk with little ' Miss Bella' we ended up back at ' Bar Castillo' - sat outside in the hot sunshine, for a nice cool drink, taking in the sights & sounds of sunny Manilva, as the 'World' passed us by!

Meanwhile over in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, it's ' Alanna's birthday today; " Happy Birthday - Feliz Cumpleaños "

See below a new picture of the ' Birthday Girl' !

For our supper this evening we are having the rest of the “ Pork & Mushroom ‘Tarragon’ Casserole “  with the  left-over Vegetables & Potatoes with some Garden Peas and for a change ‘ Crunchy’ Hash Browns!

On Friday it’s going to be a ‘ Fish n ‘Chip’ supper and on Saturday our usual ‘ Steak Night’

Last night we caught, after supper, the 2nd part of the new series of ‘Silent Witness’ as all was revealed! Watch it to find out!! This evening it’s the start of a new series of ‘ Death in Paradise’ – then on Sunday it’s the start of the new season of the excellent “ Vera’ with ‘ Brenda Blethyn’ in the title role, as the obsessive ‘ Northumberland’ Detective Chief Inspector who ‘ plods’ around, in a dishevelled state, to find the murderers! One not to miss!!

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
