A VERY ' CRISP' AND SUNNY MANILVA ON TUESDAY.

TUESDAY 14th/ JANUARY 2020.

I was up early, again, this morning to welcome back little ‘ Miss Bella’ with us for the day, we then all had a nice lie, after freshening up it was time for our regular light breakfast of fresh fruit ( sliced Banana) with toast ( Diet Strawberry Jam)  & tea.

I then popped down to our local Butchers in ‘Calle Iglesia’ for some ‘ Chicken Wings – Alitas de Pollo ‘ for another day, and also his excellent ‘ Stewing Beef – Carne de Estofado ‘ for our ‘ Beef & Vegetable Stew with Herb Dumplings’ tomorrow evening!

This evening we have our appointments with the Councils Chiropodist ‘ Carmen’ down at the local Surgery by the sports complex.

We have yet another glorious day down here on the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ starting this morning with a cloudless blue sky, with a light breeze, the sun broke though earlier and it’s now warm & sunny, a little cooler in the shade, so by lunchtime it’s due to reach 16 degs+ - still overnight going back down to 8/9 degs+ - about normal for the time of the year, over the next few days and the weekend, it’s basically staying the same, hovering in the mid/high ‘ teens’ – with clear/cloudless sky, sunshine and a ‘ fresh ‘ breeze.

Next week as the next cold, wet & windy ‘ Atlantic’ front hits on Monday we are in for a lot colder week, with ‘RAIN’  and high winds by next Thursday, dropping down to only 2/3 degs overnight, the lowest it’s been since we arrived down here in sunny Manilva back in December 2006!  Watch this space.

For our supper this evening we are having ‘ Chicken Schnitzels ‘ – flattened Breasts of Chicken, coated in breadcrumbs and shallow-fried until crisp & golden, accompanied with Lemon Wedges and served with ‘ Spaghetti Milanese  ‘- fine Spaghetti tossed in a rich Tomato salsa with strips of Smoked Ham, garnished with seared Button Mushrooms and finely sliced ‘ French’ Green Beans.

After supper we will be channel hopping, as usual, to find something to watch, yesterday evening we caught the first episode ( second-part on Wednesday) of a very harrowing/gripping murder of a teenage boy, on ‘ Silent Witness ‘ – we are going to watch the first episode of new award winning series of ‘ Cold Feet ‘ one afternoon!

Thoughts for the Day;  See above.
