A VERY WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON TUESDAY.

TUESDAY 25th/ JULY 2017.

I was up very early this morning and shot down to the ‘ Council Planning Office’ – I was first in the queue and had my documents processed, I then had to go along to the bank in  ‘Calle Mar’ to pay the fees, I then shot back down to the office, again, with the receipts and had the final documents issued to me, finally I have to go down to Sabinillas and collect the remote control, to enable me to gain access to the garage, watch this space.

I’m planning to go down on the bus on Friday morning, if it’s running, to collect the English newspapers from the ‘English Bookshop’ I will then carry on and collect the remote control and finally call into the ‘ Movistar’ shop to check on the installation of the Fiber Optic cables here in ‘Calle San Vicente’ Watch this space.

See below a picture of the classic ‘ K6 Red Phone Box’s’ in Llandudno.

As I was out & about the sun was just rising, the sky had cleared and there was no breeze, it was already warming up by the time I came back to the house, we are in for a hot one today, 30 degs+ - the rest of the week and over the weekend its getting hotter, into the mid 30s, next week will be even warmer, watch this space.

The Council workmen were out in force again the is morning finishing the preparations, repairing the pavements, finishing the Green sun awnings, putting up all the bunting, erecting the two stages and finally washing down the street.

See the pictures above.

For our supper this evening we are keeping it simple ‘ Cold Smoked Ham’ with ‘ Campo’ Fried Eggs, Garden Peas and twice-cooked ‘ Frits’ We are then going up to ‘Bar Castillo’ for a cool drink, we will then walk along to the top stage to watch the crowning of the ‘ Feria Queens’ and then the ‘Manilva Brass Band Concert’

Over the weekend in Liverpool another cruise liner, the “ Celebrity Silhoutte “  was berthed, see the pictures below, as it went past the beach in Crosby, up the River Mersey, then berthed overnight at the Pier Head, the statue in the picture is one of the hundred cast iron statues, called ‘ Another Place ‘ placed in the sand by the world famous sculptor  Sir Antony Gormley.
