ANOTHER WARM & SUNNY DAY HERE IN MANILVA ON SUNDAY;

SUNDAY 20th/ DECEMBER 2015.

No lie in this morning as we had to take ‘Barny’ out for his first walk of the day, he’s spends all the time on his bed and is very quiet, he’s as good as gold and very easy to look after, he has his one meal of the day when we come back from his walk, ‘Chispa’ came calling a little later and is still here playing around my feet up in the office; ‘Reina’ is being dropped off this afternoon for a sleep over and now ‘Charlie’ is arriving a day early, this evening – so we have a ‘full’ house!

After breakfast we got this evenings supper ready “ Roast Leg of New Zealand Lamb “ with my finger-licking Pan Gravy and a dish of my famous ‘Boulangere’ Potatoes which will go in the oven this evening; I also roasted a few local Potatoes in the roasting tray at the same time. Brenda has also got a little selection of vegetables on the go, ‘Cauliflower Florets Mornay’ ‘Crushed Carrots & Turnips’ ‘Cabbage with Alcelgas’ and some ‘Garden Peas’. See the picture below of the ‘Leg of Lamb’ resting after coming out of the oven

.
We then shaved ( Me!) showered, washed our hair and freshened ourselves up ready to take on the World! We have another fine day here in sunny Manilva, the sky is blue and its very mild with no breeze, the forecast for the Christmas Week and to the end of December is for more of the same with the temperatures hovering on the 21/ 23 degs mark! The mildest & dryest December on record!!

Yesterday afternoon I watched the excellent coverage of the Horse Racing from Ascot & Haydock Park on Channel 4, sadly Everton lost at home 2-3 to Leicester, just now Barcelona have beaten River Plate 0-3 over in Japan in the ‘FIFA Club World Cup’ – their fifth trophy of 2015!

Last night before and after our supper we watched the Final of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ on BBC 1 – ‘Jay McGuiness’?! won with the public vote but ‘Kellie Bright’ was robbed as she was by far the best dancer on the night ( the 4 judges vote!) Just now as I’m typing the Blog an ‘Xmas Parranda Band’ has come along Calle Mar, at the top of our street, and stopped outside ‘Nacho’s Bar’ -  as you can see in the pictures above. No doubt they will end up later down at ‘Bodegon Andaluz’ in our street!

At the moment we are having some problems with our Mobile Phones, Brenda’s has gone off completely and yesterday I ,by mistake, deleted all my contacts, help is on the way! Also our land line is not working, it looks like its a payment problem with the new Bank account, I will chase it up tomorrow morning!! Watch this space.

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
